While the prologue does point to Nick to a certain extent, the crime was just so vicious that I could not see him as the killer. It takes a very cold and calculated person to kill someone like that and then go and play chess with an old man.
I completely eliminated Nick as the killer. I couldn't see someone who plays chess with Morgan's grandfather and reads her kids stories, brutally slashing his girlfriend to death. Also, his aversion to blood wouldn't work for this murder.
Nick was never on my suspect list. He was too close to Morgan and her family. I never bought into it.
We’re all in agreement on this one. I never suspected Nick as no one knew him to be as cold and calculating as he’d need to be to murder Tessa as was done. Everyone seemed to like this kid and a mother would have a sixth sense about a person she let babysit for her kids.
