Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde is the original title of a novella written by the famous Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson that was first published in 1886. The work is commonly known today as The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, or simply Jekyll & Hyde. It is about a London lawyer named John Gabriel Utterson who investigates strange occurrences between his old friend, Dr Henry Jekyll, and the evil Edward Hyde.

For a science fiction horror novel of it's time, it takes on an air of Frankenstein, but because it is from the point of view of a defined other, it is not as creepy. 100% (view spoiler)[The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde wasn't bad, necessarily, it was just pretty nothing of a novel. While I found Utterson's investigation fascinating, there was not enough of the supposed horror and edge-of-your-seat nervousness as I expected knowing the premise of this novel. In fact, I found the novel itself to be sort of a watered-down version of Frankenstein. (hide spoiler)]
