I am proposing we read and discuss this book in two parts. This will break the book up into about half and make it more manageable. That gives us 2 weeks to get going!

Years 2024-2026 -- begin discussion October 31
Year 2027 -- begin discussion Nov 14

I usually love reading older scifi that unknowingly predicts the future present but with this book I find it a little disturbing. The way generations of of one family all live together because they can’t afford to live apart....this has already started💔

I'm walking in circles in the airport staring at my airplane sitting on the tarmac but I can't get on yet!! This is me having read to the stopping point wanting to go on but can't and waiting for our discussion to start LOL!

Great book recommendation, Lauri!

More and more of it is coming back to me as I read it. Glad to revisit this classic.
