Patty’s stalking seemed to involve members of her own police force. Could you imagine how she might have convinced them that Ted was harassing her? Should they have seen something off about her? Do you think the Boston Police Department rejected her because of psychological issues they might have seen?

Robin (robinmy) | 2466 comments Patty probably had some convincing lies to tell her fellow police officers. Maybe the Boston Police Dept. caught on to her lies and rejected her.

Karen ♐ (kmk1214) | 909 comments I agree, Robin. I'm sure this happens more than we'd like to believe.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2973 comments These were her brothers in blue and I'm sure she spun some very realistic tales for them. These guys all want to protect, especially one of their own.

I'm sure her crazy showed up in her psyche evaluations.

Sharon Kallenberger Marzola | 3501 comments I do believe that the Boston Police rejected her. I'm sure he was evaluated with having PTSD and unstable for duty. Police have seen enough to develop believable lies. I think that is part of the reason it takes time to weed out the bad apples.

I felt like the BPD probably rejected her because she didn’t clear the psychological evaluation. Newton probably isn’t big enough to have one.

Melissa (melissasd) | 676 comments Police stick together and if she said that he was harassing her they probably would have believed her. If she had never done anything to set off their radar before this, then I can see where they wouldn't think it strange.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1205 comments I thought it was far-fetched.
