Sounds interesting. I wouldn't mind doing a swap of a few chapters at first, maybe approximately 10,000 words to see if we're compatible. Mine's a 86,000-word fantasy novel with mystery elements. Here's my current blurb:The small town of Silverwood sits in the menacing shadow of the forest that shares its name. When a young girl goes missing – the second child to vanish in a year – old rumors of evil spirits inhabiting the woods begin to spread again. Are they just dark myths, or is there some truth to them?
Sheriff Tristan Urbain came to Silverwood looking for answers in the death of his son, but eight years later, he’s still no closer to knowing the truth. Frustrated by his failures, and tormented by nightmares, he believes finding the missing girl is his last chance at redemption. After days of futile searching, a stranger traveling through town offers to send for help. Without much hope, Tristan accepts the offer and sets in motion a chain of events that will uncover more than he ever imagined possible.
Detective Sabetra Matos has never really fit in her entire life, and that’s especially true now she’s the only woman in the newly formed Royal Detective Agency. Despite her skill solving crimes, most of her colleagues still treat her with contempt, so when a royal request is sent for a detective to travel to Silverwood and investigate a missing child, she’s chosen to go. What seems like a simple case at first escalates to ominous proportions until not just the fate of girl, but the town, and perhaps the entire kingdom, is in the balance.

Sounds Good, Adam. How do we do this? -Joe
Hi Joe - I'd love to try a swap with you! My dark fantasy novel is complete and is sitting at 152k words but I'm willing to swap an amount of words equal to the length of your story, if you wish. ;)Kindly see below info and let me know via PM/reply/email at authoromdavid@gmail.com if you're interested. Thanks. ;)
Genre: Dark Fantasy with Mystery and Horror elements.
Keywords: Atmospheric, Prophecy, Kingdom, Mysticism, Immersive, Dark
The seers and necromancers foretell a dark prophecy that shall leave the land consumed of life.
Caleb – a mercenary with a mysterious past – escapes from his tower prison and is tasked with retrieving a journal which is his world’s last hope for salvation and to stop the prophecy. There is a rift somewhere between the mortal world and the Volatile, and the seers are searching its location to seal it with the help of the journal, once found.
Meanwhile, Gabriel, an envoy of the court is seeking to prevent a grim war that will bring ruination to his kingdom…and not only.
I can provide feedback on characters (voice, consistency, personality), worldbuilding (setting, description, exposition), plot, writing style and flow of story. A quick disclaimer: the story has some mature content. Nothing (too) triggering (hopefully). :)
Thanks in advance!

The, fantasy-world-within-our-world, of Neal Gaiman combined with the what-if science of Michael Creighton, starring Bill Murray.
Robbing the Cradle of Civilization, explores deep topics with humor and adventure. A handful of good guys and a few bad guys independently circle the Mediterranean, searching for the one book that was saved from the burning of the ancient Library at Alexandria. The adventurers who survive encounters with each other, come together in Egypt's, Qattara Depression to find that the book led them to a common and terrible enemy.
Based on the Book of Enoch and other ancient writings, this is an elaboration on the story of the jealous Angels, who tried to exterminate God’s children by giving hunter/gathers the forbidden knowledge that created, then destroyed, a steam-powered Atlantis, and of those angels return in modern times to try again.
An engaging story, intricately plotted with great characters but perhaps poorly told. It could use some feedback from you. We could do all or part of each others work.
thanks, Joe
