message 54: by Jennifer, Bookworm (new)

Jennifer | 1553 comments Mod

-highfives- good job sis XD. im still working on moon called. lately for some reason i just cant get myself to read. something is wrong with me LOL. im gonna start back on moon called tonight tho

message 57: by Dhfan4life (new)

Dhfan4life | 1051 comments Thanks, haha. Ah, that sucks. :( I know how that is for sure. Sounds like a bit of a funk or just not quite in the mood just yet for that book maybe? I'm surprised I'm not as burnt out though myself. But I guess that is a sign I'm opening up more. Even started one of the books for review.

message 58: by Jennifer, Bookworm (new)

Jennifer | 1553 comments Mod
not quite in the mood as u said lol. ikr O_O uve really been the book queen lately. wtg sis XD

message 59: by Dhfan4life (new)

Dhfan4life | 1051 comments You'll get there. Have all year after all lol. And thanks, I've just been trying to get to the books I've freaking wanted to read since forever. Well most of them anyway. So not too hard to get through many books when you finally get to try them out. :)

Hey, I meant to ask what did you think about that blog post from Ward on her spin-off series for the BDB peeps?

message 60: by Jennifer, Bookworm (new)

Jennifer | 1553 comments Mod
Gah, sorry sis, forgot about this response. I saw it when I was on my kindle but it was in the app and it was giving me issues so didn't get to respond x.x sorry again.

Haha true. Youre welcome ^.^. lmao good point! I don't really remember it now tbh other than it was about the spin off and how you would get to see certain chars.

Finished Moon Called (Mercy Thompson, #1) by Patricia Briggs and it was really good! I wasn't expecting it to be that good either. There's even a luv triangle but not the kind where the female is being stupid about it so to speak. Gonna read the second one too. For shifters/magical types they had werewolves, coyote, fae, vamps and witches.

message 61: by Dhfan4life (new)

Dhfan4life | 1051 comments I'll have to see how it goes. She has done me wrong with the fallen angels series and some of my fave characters.

GASP! I never thought you would say something like that about a love triangle sis. That must really be one hell of a series then lol.

message 62: by Jennifer, Bookworm (new)

Jennifer | 1553 comments Mod
ure making me thankful that i havent read the fallen angels series then haha

LOL ikr O_O. its really not THAT bad compared to the other luv triangles ive read about. (view spoiler)

message 63: by Dhfan4life (new)

Dhfan4life | 1051 comments It's really not some of Ward's best. And I have a question for you. Did you ever feel like the first 4 books of the BDB series read as more PNR or UF to you? Had a discussion about that earlier today. I honestly felt like the series in general was UF from start to now. Didn't change once she wrote V's book as the other person had mentioned. But she said that was Ward's own take on things too.

YAY! Finally a female character that knows what she wants! Hope she picks the right guy for her. My money is on the least annoying guy!

message 64: by Jennifer, Bookworm (new)

Jennifer | 1553 comments Mod
hmmm.... for me itd be UF but UFR (>.> i have no idea if i just made that up now or not but doubtful LOL).

yes XD! ikr O_O. i already know who she picks rofl :I. i luv one of the side chars tho. hes a vamp who just amuses me rofl

message 65: by Dhfan4life (new)

Dhfan4life | 1051 comments I would not be surprised if there is. And actually given how PNR and UF bleed over into each other at times. I just thought that was what Ward was doing. So can rock with UFR as well for it.

Oh good. Then not too surprising then. Glad there is a funny vamp too. So over how serious they make vamps sometimes.

message 66: by Jennifer, Bookworm (new)

Jennifer | 1553 comments Mod
lmao tru @ PNR and UF. on the other hand UF is just PN in the modern day

yup XD. hes not exactly a comedian. more like the sarcastic kind of amusing maybe rofl? in that books anyways. he's a major person in the next book based on the desc o_o

message 67: by Dhfan4life (new)

Dhfan4life | 1051 comments PN? Definitely don't think I know that one.

Ooooh, sarcasm is pretty good. :D And that is good. Hopefully the author keeps him consistent between books.

message 68: by Jennifer, Bookworm (new)

Jennifer | 1553 comments Mod
shortened it for paranormal. PNR without the romance.

haha true. hope so XD

message 69: by Dhfan4life (new)

Dhfan4life | 1051 comments Oooooh I get you now. And actually pending on the author yea, I think they do confuse PNR for UF all the time. Which is a shame really. Cause usually for UF and what drew me to that genre, is that it's not really about the romance but the other stuff, like action, mystery, adventure. Sure that is in PNR too, but usually comes back to the main couple. That is why I thought it was weird when I first heard Cat and Bones(a couple) were in a UF series. Cause of all the UF ones I had read to this point, had a single person most likely going to head into a love triangle sitch, or hooking up on the random. But really different strokes for different folks.

message 70: by Jennifer, Bookworm (new)

Jennifer | 1553 comments Mod
Yeah, I know what you mean O_O. I can't wait to read more Cat and Bones rofl. I luv that series so far :I.

message 71: by Dhfan4life (last edited Feb 16, 2015 02:06PM) (new)

Dhfan4life | 1051 comments Yep, which I'll be starting eventually. Although, I think after I finish this second book for review, I'm going to tackle the YA books first. They are usually shorter than the adult ones. Well save for that Kingdom of Little Wounds.

Okay, change of plans as I just realized those are some of the LONGEST YA books I could have ever chosen to read, LOL. So will check over which is the shortest that I can reasonably get in and get done in between working jobs.

-kicks goodreads- x.x i dont even remember seeing this post.

LMAO i told u they were long! good luck sis XD.

started Azagoth (1001 Dark Nights, #6; Lords of Deliverance, #5.5; Demonica, #10.5) by Larissa Ione last night and finished it too e.e anddd only got like 4 hours of sleep. it was definitely worth it tho rofl. i absolutely luved azagoth!

message 73: by Dhfan4life (new)

Dhfan4life | 1051 comments I knew you would enjoy it. And being able to transform like he did, is totally why I wanted more of him in the series.

message 74: by Jennifer, Bookworm (new)

Jennifer | 1553 comments Mod
haha. dude i wish it would of been longer. azagoth and lilliana reminded me of a hades and persephone book that ive read numerous times. except lilliana had more backbone ofc rofl

message 75: by Dhfan4life (new)

Dhfan4life | 1051 comments Oh great comparison. I sorta thought something similar but there were some times I wanted to give Lilliana a good smack. Especially for destroying his spy glass like that.

message 76: by Jennifer, Bookworm (new)

Jennifer | 1553 comments Mod
ikr @ spy glass. she didnt know tho and more or less reacted how many would of

message 77: by Dhfan4life (new)

Dhfan4life | 1051 comments I know, but still so lucky he didn't go beast form and eat her like Godzilla on steroids lol.

message 78: by Jennifer, Bookworm (new)

Jennifer | 1553 comments Mod
haha true. making me think of whats his name from bdb now XD

message 79: by Dhfan4life (new)

Dhfan4life | 1051 comments Rhage, but yeah even Azagoth's other side was cooler and more active too.

message 80: by Jennifer, Bookworm (new)

Jennifer | 1553 comments Mod
yes him! ty rofl. ikr, i thought so too tbh :I

finished The Ruby Circle (Bloodlines, #6) by Richelle Mead XD. >.> def better than what i thought it was gonna be based on what some ppl were saying about it and hate to see it end too. hopefully in the future the author might do another spinoff but in any case the ruby circle was good ^.^

message 82: by Dhfan4life (new)

Dhfan4life | 1051 comments Glad you enjoyed it so much sis. Sounds like a good wrap up to the series.

message 83: by Jennifer, Bookworm (new)

Jennifer | 1553 comments Mod

Jennifer | 1553 comments Mod

message 87: by Dhfan4life (new)

Dhfan4life | 1051 comments Hells yes. Dude I can't even recall my last 5 star book. I gotta even go and check it out haha.

message 88: by Jennifer, Bookworm (new)

Jennifer | 1553 comments Mod
LOL dude i cant either! O_O is this ur first 5 star book for the year or no?

message 89: by Dhfan4life (new)

Dhfan4life | 1051 comments Honestly not sure as I haven't been marking the year on the ones I've read. But I think it is the first 5 star I've gotten for the year.

message 90: by Jennifer, Bookworm (new)

Jennifer | 1553 comments Mod
thats what i meant XD, as in the first one u gave 5 stars to this year. and thats awesome sis!

message 91: by Dhfan4life (new)

Dhfan4life | 1051 comments And one of the very few 500 page books I've ever read so fast either. O_O

message 92: by Jennifer, Bookworm (new)

Jennifer | 1553 comments Mod
dude u really flew through that one

message 93: by Dhfan4life (new)

Dhfan4life | 1051 comments Yea, cause once you start you truly can't stop. It's like every time you do it's interesting part, and have to find out what else is going to happen next.

message 94: by Jennifer, Bookworm (new)

Jennifer | 1553 comments Mod
lmao and u just described pringles XD kidding

message 95: by Dhfan4life (new)

Dhfan4life | 1051 comments Lays too, lol. But good that a book could bring out that affect as well.
