OMG - I am so watching this! I actually just saw an add somewhere for it and wondered.... in my email notices? Which I have been ignoring.
Thank you, Amy! You can scout shows for me any ole time.

I do want to watch the last season of Schitts Creek, I'm not sure if it is out now or not. I also subscribed to Disney just for Hamilton and now that I have watched it 3 times, I will be canceling. I never did watch anything else on Disney, even though some things looked interesting.

I watched Valentine's Day and Me Before You yesterday.
Today is all football but Emily in Paris is now really high on my list!! I need to watch some of the other ones you mentioned. I watched a couple of seasons of Jane the Virgin and really liked it. Don't remember why I stopped.
We don't need to discuss how many times I've watched Hamilton. We love Disney +... my husband and I watch all of the Star Wars and Marvel movies over and over. I've re-watched all of the Pixar movies. I LOVE Jeff Goldblum and his show. My husband is a huge fan of Mandalorian and I really like the show that covered the making of it.

Re: Schitts Creek- YES! The last season is now available on Netflix. Hubby and I are currently rewatching the series (on season 2), in anticipation of the series finale.
Spooky Shows:
With Halloween around the corner, I'd suggest the movie Hubie Halloween on Netflix. It's a comedy (not scary at all), and Adam Sandler- I thought it was great.
We've also watched Hotel Transylvania, and ET. With Hocus Pocus, Hotel Transylvania 2 and 3, Addams Family movies on the horizon. Plus other October-themed movies.
Also for October- suggesting What We Do In the Shadows on Hulu- a comedic vampire-themed TV show. More on the British-humor side, but super funny for all.

I keep looking at What We Do In the Shadows since Taika Waititi is involved and we loved what he did with Ragnarok and Mandalorian.

We also are liking "The Durrells in Corfu," which is based on Gerald Durrell's book. So, in the course of one evening, we find ourselves in both modern day L.A. and 1930's Greece. (It's not on Netflix).

I am watching all the horror this month, but admittedly I have been for a while.
I will second Hubie Halloween.
I love Adam Sandler, but the under-bite-baby-voice is my least favorite of his character affectations so I was a little worried.
It's only slightly annoying, but the heart-warming, good clean fun kinda feel of this movie more than makes up for it as well as some Hubie character attributed that can't help but be endearing.
Also a lot of easter eggs for Sandler fans that have followed most of his movie career.
I honestly might watch it again 🤭

know exactly where you are coming from Robin. All this togetherness this last year has really taken it's toll. My husband is retired but I had my gym class and my time volunteering at the library-when all that went away I lost my mind! The library is now allowing volunteers back in so I get out and go there a few times a week.

Can you hook up headphones to your TV or cable box? I just bought the most amazing wireless Bose headphones! Not tried with TV yet - I bought to use with Zoom meetings and such - a business expense. But I've pretty much used them with every device in my house and they are AWESOME! Since I live alone, I doubt I will ever use with the TV....but it's something to consider.

We also..."
I must admit that the Durrells in Corfu is very interesting to me! How has it been?
And so much about Schitt's Creek - I might finally have to binge watch it but will definitely start from beginning.
Personally, I want to re-watch Mad Men from the beginning and I know it's streaming somewhere even though I have it in DVD.

The Durrells have been enchanting. I've watched one episode each night and have really enjoyed it. My public library has the series, which is 4 seasons long. I think you'll like it!

Oh my. Since I have a Netflix subscription again, I will be indulging!

I just finished The Last Kingdom (which I LOVED) and am still feeling the action historical vibe.

Jane the Virgin is a favourite of mine and my best friend's we are on Season 3 right now.
I have never tried Schitts Creek

Was it good? I have it on my short list for Nov/Dec

Don't know. Asking if anyone has seen it because I am considering it.

I haven't heard of it until now, will go look it up

Just to be the voice on the other side, I thought Emily in Paris was below average. It was super stereotypical, to the point where it was obnoxious, and I found it not even remotely believable that this 24 year old was sent to Paris on her own to do a high-powered job. And everything she touched turned to gold. I rolled my eyes A LOT. I did finish the whole thing though, so I guess that is something.
But, Jane the Virgin and Schitt's Creek are two of my favorite shows of all time! I love them both so much.

1) Emily is everything I hate about Americans traveling. Assuming people will speak English, and falling into touristic stereotypes. "fake it till you make it", girl please- how about "do your research and learn"
2) This girl has 43 followers at the start of the episode, but I'm supposed to believe that she is a top person in a marketing company?
3) I'm LOVING the Paris travel-porn aspect, and will continue watching basically for all the lovely Paris shots, and Ashley Park.
Maybe I'm a hater- sorry guys.
Netflix Christmas Movies
SUPER excited for this list!!
-Especially excited for Dash and Lily, based off of one of my holiday favorites, Dash & Lily's Book of Dares. time for a reread before the movie comes out!
-Also the trailer for Holidate is out, and it makes me READY for the holiday season!!

I am not a huge fan either. You and I can form a haters group! lol

I loved the show The Last Kingdom, I haven't read the books.

Meanwhile, now that I am in Season Three of Outlander, I want to understand more about the book that I didn't quite get. I was hoping Doughgirl/Lynne would respond, and/or give me her phone number. I haven't heard word one.... Nicole, Cindy, Tessa, where are my Peeps to give me the fill ins I so desire? Episode six of that....

In truth, those last 2 or 3 seasons of Downton Abbey I watched solely for Maggie Smith and location/costume porn. The rest was awful.

I saw your post/questions, Amy, but I'm a terrible one for remembering things! Nicole and BC have had to remind me of things sometimes in our discussions as we watch whatever current season is airing at the time! Sorry I am unable to help with your questions!

https://recaptains.co.uk/?s=Voyager it is always where I go when I need questions answered after reading a book, or to get back up to speed before continuing a series-I know it is not the same as chatting with a friend, but it may answer some of your questions
Boy do I have some fabulous shows to talk about! First up, has got to be Emily in Paris! I've only seen episode one, and I am hooked. For one, a cute young girl with spunk and style who you want to root for, gets sent to Paris for a year, with not a word of French under her belt. But to see her wearing those amazing dresses, shoes, and bags, in the city we love, in front of patisseries and bridges, and in Jardins galore, everything about this is a pleasure for the senses. A must in my book! Worth the wait Theresa? I thought of you the entire time!
Just finished the Season finale of only Season one of Jane the Virgin and OMG!!!!!! Is this what they mean by all the feels? I laughed, I cried, my hear hurt with fullness, I was moved, touched, and then ultimately shocked with horror!!!!!! I have needed a break to start season two! And that is how I in part found Emily in Paris.
Third, with only three episodes aired, I think on FOX, I am so into Filthy Rich - its my newest pleasure! I have only seen two and I am like whoa boy! New favorite show! Kim Catrall, you have my vote! I think this is a not to be missed!
Many of you know I am a huge fan of the Good Fight on CBS.com. But I haven't watched season four yet, because I have been catching it up with my husband, and we just finished Season One Finale - guess what we will be doing tonight! Hello Audra! Love this show, its timely, smart, and riveting!
The Spanish Princess. After having re-watched The White Queen and the White Princess in its entirety, I saw the Spanish Princess for the very first time, and loved every moment! Spanish Princess Season 2 airs Sunday night with its first new episode.
Lastly, after having finished Voyager, I am happily back to Outlander Season 3, and have just begun to again fall into that world.
Friends who like plots, Paris, historical fiction, contemporary fiction, humor, style, its all in there for you! Chat away my friends, but no spoilers for me.... I am early in almost all of these! Take it away folks.....
