I received this book as a gift at the end of 1997. I think it is either written by a Spanish author or it is set in Spain. Possibly not. Anyway, the book came with a CD and the reader was directed to listen to tracks on the CD as an accompaniment to the story line as they read. I think, although I could be wrong, that Nessun Dorma may have been one of the songs. It was a very evocative book. That's all I know. Any ideas??

Laurie... thank you so much! I borrowed The Law Of Love by Laura Esquivel from the library and this IS indeed the book! The title of this book has been bugging me for years. To finally get to experience it again has been a true pleasure and no longer nags at my memory. Thank you!!
