Dove Jarrod (view spoiler)[I can't imagine being born in a "nut house" and then escaping. She must've been some woman! I've always been suspicious of faith healers. Fakes are the worst kind of criminal as far as I am concerned, stealing your hope and faith while making you believe they can literally heal you. I feel like Dove was a total fake, so I'm suspicious. Eve Candler (view spoiler)[I can't imagine how it must feel to know that your grandmother might possibly have murdered someone. At the same time, the mystery of a coin collection coming to light and finding a possible lead would be exciting too. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 16-30

Arthur Holt (view spoiler)[ is a master manipulator! So, did he kill Steadfast? It sounds like it. (hide spoiler)]

Eve (view spoiler)[ should never have signed that paper, especially since Arthur would "fill it in later." I worry what that could mean for her. But they're both in the wrong to try to hide the body. (hide spoiler)]

Bruna (view spoiler)[is in love with a bad guy. I think the only reason she didn't get an inheritance too is because her grandfather was sexist. Maybe that's how it was back then, but I hate to say it is still that way today by too many men. (hide spoiler)]

Ember (view spoiler)[I'm wondering what the connection is that she feels with Eve and just what is that about Eve's weak arm. It almost sounded like she was Ruth/Dove reincarnated. (hide spoiler)]

The Hawthorn Sisters (view spoiler)[were fun to me. I liked how they were able to draw such a crowd and made good money doing it. I liked them as an entertaining duo. (hide spoiler)]

I was glad that Eve (view spoiler)[found out things she wanted to know and that she found the items. Sharing the money and ending up with 7 million dollars...not too shabby! (hide spoiler)]
