SCP-5521's Cell
Azusa stared down at his clipboard. As a thaumiel SCP, he was to work with the FDA to work with the more euclid and keter SCP's. Also to protect Izumi, but that was another subject altogether, considering that whole situation was a case of reverse psychology and he knew it. He glanced up at the camera. He would have to go in there and fix some things, make sure everything was working correctly. Mostly just the door. But it'd have to be checked up from the inside. He cleared his throat, "SCP-5521. Can you hear me? This is mic test." He said into the microphone. Azusa himself was quite shrouded in mystery when it came to his SCP status, and some researchers still considered him Euclid, he himself did not. He was assigned to Earth as prince of an intergalactic council far, far away from this galaxy. It was his job to protect earth. So he had spent the last four point five billion years detturing major damage, allowing few exceptions for the advancement of evolution of course.
He opened his bag, "I myself don't enjoy invading anyone's personal space. So to make this more tolerable, I've brought a bit of music to play in the mean time. I heard you liked classical, so I brought the Moonlight Sonata. If that's alright with you" he said as he readied some of his tools. This was his first time speaking with The Ancient, so he was, well slightly unnerved, but he remained stoic as usual.
He finished readying his tools. He knew he couldn't actually be killed by The Ancient, considering he himself was also an immortal being. He opened the door carefully to his cell, closing it behind him and bowing, "I'm going to be blunt. I am SCP-M891, a thaumiel SCP. My main objective is to run standard procedure on the other SCP cells." he introduced himself.
He placed a small, touch screen device on the wall, allowing it to take up to fifteen minutes to search the door and other security mechanisms for harmful malfunctions and breaches before sitting down stiffly as told.
He nodded, "I know. Standard procedure though. It's my duty to check all of the security devices. It isn't my choice." he replied calmly, glancing around the cell steadily.
He glanced at the stone, "Well. As prince of Lividia, it is my job to protect the most high priority planets in the universe in order to allow them to evolve into something more intelligent. I chose the human form in order to relate to humans on a more fundemental level, considering they didn't take my radio waves as my crystal form." he explain.
"Here. My assigned planet. It continues to be so" he replied as he sorted through his tools, checking on the other cells.
He teleported to the other side of the door, sitting by it and continuing to check the other cells emotionlessly.
Though it isn't entirely my fault. Considering I wasn't assigned to his race. And it's dense to blame it on me. But that's fine I suppose. he thought.
Though it isn't entirely my fault. Considering I wasn't assigned to his race. And it's dense to blame it on me. But that's fine I suppose. he thought.
He checked off something on his list, definitely need to reinforce the stone. he nodded to himself before clearing his throat, "Well. Now that I think about it. His name in English would be Michale Adrian. He was in training when in happened. I was even called because of a major malfunction in the main algorithms of your biology. That's the reason the meteor his this planet and wiped out nearly all life. I was almost fired." he explained.
He let out a sigh, he'd probably have to go in and fix it. "Yes. I have. Though I've never been there." he replied. This'd either be simple... or painful..
He shook his head slowly before opening his palm, allowing it to glow as he forced The Ancient to be calm. It was a method he had learned long ago. A method tht consisted of his royal power. Only royal kind of his species could bear such a spell.
"You know, for someone so high in priority, you've got quite the temper." he said calmly into the microphone. He sat back. He couldn't leave until The Ancient calmed down. He needed to fix that camera.
He sighed softly and teleported into the room, immediately getting to work on the camera. He wondered how Izumi was doing.. since the two of them.. were kind of a thing. It made him blush thinking about it. He bit his lip in thought. The Ancient seemed very upset about his population dying. But perhaps he could help him bring it back. He was part of the elder council anyways, and was definitely well trained in that area of expertise. Yes, he decided that when he got the chance, he'd offer a propsition like that. And to be honest, he sort of wanted to be friends with The Ancient, allies at the leastm, considering at the moment, he had no one but Izumi. And it got a little lonely from time to time.
He glanced down at the slime piles. Hm. Was The Ancient ok? He could never tell. He hadn't studied his race while in his home land. He spent more time studying humans and their solar system, mostly because humans were mroe interesting to him. He glanced at the door, the small, now slime covered touch screen device saying five minutes left.
He set a new camera in place, placing the old one in his bag and tweeking the batteries on it before going over to the door. He sighed, he'd need to replace some of the minor bolts that were being rusted by the slime. He glanced up, the classical music still playing.
He face palmed. Well, he had five minutes left to spare. He teleported once more out of the room. If he really wanted to, he could probably shrink The Ancient, considering the cirumstances. Or if he really had to, he'd put The Ancient to sleep temporarily.
He sat back in the chair, suddenly beginning to spin around in the chair boredly. Good thing he could be multiple places at once. Or else this would be a real pain in the ass.
He folded his arms, feeling slightly guilty. He cleared his throat, changing the song to Fur Elise, another famous composition by Beethoven. He bit his lip, tempted to make the proposition. However, how would that affect the human race itself? Perhaps if he transported the species into the depths of space, somewhere much farther than they were able to travel even with how powerful they were.
He cleared his throat, "If I brought them back, would you let me fix the door?" he asked calmly.
<< Gosh, how are they ever going to become friends XD >>
<< Gosh, how are they ever going to become friends XD >>
He teleported to the door, beginning to replace the bolts, "Well, to be honest, as elder council, I'm allowed to recreate certain species. I was present when they forsaw the existence of your race. And I was present when they discussed the downfall of it. Therefore, I am perfectly eligible to bring the race back... though I'd have to make a great sacrifice of my own..." he shrugged, "However, if you don't find the thought intriguing, you can just disregard what I said. Besides, this is a rather dreary subject, and you must be very bored of dreary subjects" he added.
He sighed, turning to him, his eyes glowing purple, not quite neon though, "It isn't as simple as that. Time is a linear thing, and while we may create loopholes, if the downfall of your race was part of destiny, we couldn't do anything about it. No matter what, it would have happened. You must understand that we keep the balance of the universes, and we are not allowed to do things that will directly impact the destinies of any other universe on our own account. Though, yes, we did try to save it. For severl centuries, which would be much different time wise to you, we worked on algorithms. Even without Michale's mistake, it would've happened one way or another." he explained.
His eyes faded to crimson, "No. Because I'm not the one who is destined to do it. I do not exist. Or at least, I shouldn't. I am an overseer of time, therefore, I shouldn't make such a big impact on it" he replied.
He sighed softly, sitting down at the drill worked on the bolts. He folded his arms, "My race is dying out too.. We've only got... two.. three of us left. My father is the high ruler, and I am prince. My brother's been missing for some time now. I still have my mission. But after the rebirth of a more ancient race, we're being hunted." he murmured quietly.
He looked down, "We are known by many names. Originally, we were the first of any species. Our race died out once, in which others took over, and then we were reincarnated, and the others died out. It's a perpetual cycle." he replied, glad the cameras hadn't been recording the conversation. It was to much for the humans to know just yet.
He nodded, "Perhaps." he said vaguely, reparing the camera for a second time. "I apologize if I came off as a bit rude, I tend to muddle my first impression" he murmured, And everything else. he thought as he looked to the side.
He shook his head, "It's expected from someone who's lost so much. Though... I suppose that.. anger is better than feeling no emotion whatsoever." he replied.
He nodded stiffly, taking his notepad out and allowing it to float in mid air as he began undoing the drill, "Name?" he replied.
He snapped his fingers, "I've sent a clone to contact him. He should be coming here soon." he replied.
He nodded, "Finally, human devices... are so painfully tedious" he muttered as he extracted the wires and replaced them.
"Oh, and another thing, I'd highly appreciate it if you didn't tell anyone I'm a SCP. As thaumiel, I'm supposed to either blend in, or not be existent at all." he murmured.
"Understood." he replied, "Should I be going? This researcher, he should be here soon, do you desire to be alone with him?" he asked.
He stood in place completely frozen, his hair a mess. His eyes wide. Gosh that was fluster provoking.
He shook his head, quickly fixing his hair, "No. It's fine" he replied quietly, taking a few notes on the state of the cell itself.
<< Did he mean the bodyguard to Izumi? Just wondering. >>
He watched the two, "If I may ask, do you have any complaints about the cell SCP- I mean, The Ancient?" he asked.
He watched the two, "If I may ask, do you have any complaints about the cell SCP- I mean, The Ancient?" he asked.
He nodded, writing it down, "Over a twenty four hour interval or less?" he asked, turning the page.
He glanced up from his note pad and raised an eyebrow before slowly nodding. "I suppose I can work something out." he replied.
He gazed down at him, "No. Have you Mr.Shaid?" he asked, glancing at Shaid blankly, still writing.
He tilted his head, "Now I'm quite curious as to it's effects..." he replied as he gazed down at the slime.
He nodded, "Ah." he replied simply. Of course it wouldn't kill Azusa, Maybe intoxicate him, but no, it wouldn't kill. "Genre. I was going to ask, what sort of music do you want to here? I myself play cello, which I favor the most over most music. Classical is nice. Though I'd need to download many more classical songs.. I get a lot of classical requests around here." he noted to himself mostly.
He glanced around, "Perhaps we could have one rolled in temporarily. For the purpose of you playing it for him." Azusa suggested as he wrote down notes, "By theme songs... you mean?" he glanced up at The Ancient.
Azusa nodded, "I will. Thank you. As for acapella, I don't know of any hu-, I mean, I'm not familar with any songs in which acapella is sung. If you'd like, I could record some for you. How about you Mr.Shaid, do you sing?" he asked.
