It's ok with me :-)
On my TBR I have It's Just a Dog. You can get it for kindle for .99 on Amazon, I believe :) if you want to read that for "Clubbing." It is only 190 pages per goodreads :-)

message 102: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie I could do:
Collecting Comic Books-Read a book that's part of a series : Thereby Hangs a Tail
Reading-Read an author that's new to you: A Shot in the Bark.

That would leave: Role Play Games and Crafting for our team to get the bonus points for that category if anyone wants to take them??

message 103: by Annette (new)

Annette Olsen | 205 comments I can commit to 6 books. I haven't started gophering yet but if we have tasks that need doing I can do any of them. I love using the topplers to read stuff I probably wouldn't have otherwise!

message 104: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Yay! Thanks Annette :-)

message 105: by Lanelle (new)

Lanelle | 4064 comments Stephanie, I imagine I'll read 5 - 6 books for the Toppler. I could read more but a grandbaby is due during that week, so a lot of time will be spent with my daughter and her family.

If you'll look at message 85, you can see that I've gophered 2 - 3 books per task so far. Feel free to assign me books to read to fill in empty slots.

Thanks, Lanelle :-)
If you take the role play and crafting and Jessica is good with clubbing and shooting and I can take collecting comic books and reading then we have hobbies covered! Boom! Woohoo!

message 107: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Cherie, how many books are you committing to? Any categories you prefer?

message 108: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Oh and Lanelle, early congrats on the grand baby :-)

message 109: by Travis (new)

Travis (travistousant) | 6011 comments I don't have any books for body on cover, places except space setting, or the job one. After those first 3 categories I have many to fit in many places

message 110: by Travis (new)

Travis (travistousant) | 6011 comments It will take some research for me as I like to find 3-4 shorter books once I find those I'm good since I own mostly longer books

message 111: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Sounds good, Travis :-) i know what you mean about having most books that are longer reads. Sounds like my books here :) i jump for joy if I can find a book for tipplers less than 300 pages, lol!

That's perfect. Thank you!

message 113: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Yay!! You will have to let me know how it is :-) I have had it on my TBR forever!! I'm better at adding books then knocking them off, lol!

message 114: by Travis (new)

Travis (travistousant) | 6011 comments I'll takebthe John and Lorena Bobbit. Although may I never experience the same. Book: MASH: A Novel About Three Army Doctors

Jessica Elizabeth | 95 comments Stephanie wrote: "Yay!! You will have to let me know how it is :-) I have had it on my TBR forever!! I'm better at adding books then knocking them off, lol!"

Will do. It looks really good. I'm a complete sucker for dog books.

message 116: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Me too! :-)

message 117: by Travis (new)

Travis (travistousant) | 6011 comments I have a head on cover Carrie Carrie by Stephen King

message 118: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Nice! Do you want me to put you down for that Travis?

message 119: by Travis (new)

Travis (travistousant) | 6011 comments Yup Carrie for the head and MASH for the john Bobbit

message 120: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (sarahlou29) | 1302 comments I can do Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark - read a dystopian book. Perfectly enough I'll be reading 'MockingJay'.

message 121: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Thank you, Travis and Sarah!

message 122: by Travis (new)

Travis (travistousant) | 6011 comments Oddly enough the categories I thought I had no books for are the ones I'm finding books for so I believe I could do

Set on island The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry

And set on spaceship or alien land Rendezvous with Rama

You could mark me for both that gives me 4 quicker type reads and I'll hang back to see if there are any holes that need filling

message 123: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie That is awesome! Thanks, Travis! I hope you like AJ Fikry! That was such a good book :-)

message 124: by Stephanie (last edited Jan 25, 2015 09:30AM) (new)

Stephanie For bonus point categories:
We need read a book with a pair of eyes, which I could do as I have an audio book through the library that would fit. Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson

Read a book with a pair of legs

Read a book set in South America
Read a book set in Canada

The rules state that more than one person can each item of book, just that the bonus points for the category will only count once.

I believe some of us have stated that we have books for each thing. Once we have a spreadsheet it should be easier to see what needs to be read :)

message 125: by Dominique (new)

Dominique | 1126 comments I'll be reading these 2:

Read a book with a pair of eyes
The Look of Love by Sarah Jio - The Look of Love by Sarah Jio

Will Arnett and Amy Poehler – Read a humorous book

The Silver Linings Playbook by Matthew Quick - The Silver Linings Playbook - Matthew Quick

message 126: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Awesome! Thanks, Dominique! I loved the movie of Silver Linings Playbook:-) I didn't know there was a book! I may have to add it to my TBR now :-)

It's never too early to start reading to a child/baby! ☺

I also saw the movie, It's during an interview from the director I found out it was from a novel.

message 129: by jaxnsmom (new)

jaxnsmom | 8341 comments I'll make this an official announcement. The surprise bonus points have nothing to do with how many different tasks are completed. That could give an unfair advantage to teams that have more high volume readers. I assume you'll want to be sure the tasks that earn bonus points are completed, but other than that, let everyone read what they want.

Stephanie Happy Monday photo marvellous_monday.gif

We are having a winter weather advisory (which means we won't get any snow but schools are closing or closing early, anyway :) )
It has been a rainy blahness all morning.

Lynn | 2987 comments Right guys; I'm back, gone through the posts and working the spreadsheet!

Link: http://1drv.ms/1JPZRDi

Can everyone please take a look and let me know if I've got anything wrong.

Some points to clear up:
- From what I can tell I still need to know how many books willing to read from Cherie, Sarah Jigz and Jessica
- We've filled two of the three bonus sections. The categories left for the bonus section left are:
Book set in Africa
Book set in South America
Book set in Canada
If any of you who haven't had their maximum assigned yet can fill those slots it would be great

message 133: by Lynn (new)

Lynn | 2987 comments Stephanie, can you add the spreadsheet link to the first post of this thread and the reporting thread please?

Stephanie Lynn wrote: "Stephanie, can you add the spreadsheet link to the first post of this thread and the reporting thread please?"

Done and done :-)

Also, I have that Jessica said that she would read 2 books, same with Sarah Jigz. Havent' heard from Cherie yet, though.

Hope you had a good weekend :-) I tried keeping track on paper. Hope I didn't miss anything or got something wrong. I am sure our teammates will let us know :-)

Lynn | 2987 comments Had a brilliant weekend thanks :)

message 139: by Stephanie (last edited Jan 26, 2015 11:47AM) (new)

Stephanie I am going to go ahead and read a 3rd book to take care of the book set in Canada..that book will be..

Anne of Green Gables. I just downloaded the audio :-)

and thank you, Lynn for doing the spreadsheet!

message 140: by Lynn (new)

Lynn | 2987 comments Brilliant! :)

message 141: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Lynn wrote: "Brilliant! :)"

You can take me off of head and eyes since we have teammates that will read those for sure :-)

My for sure reads are: Anne of Green Gables- book set in Canada
Thereby Hangs a Tail-Collecting comic books-read a book that's part of a series
A Shot in the Bark- Reading- read an author that's new to you.

I may be able to read more :-)

message 142: by Lanelle (new)

Lanelle | 4064 comments Lynn, Stephanie knows that I plan on reading at least 3 more books than the 2 books I'm scheduled for already (which are correct on your wonderful spreadsheet). I'm assuming she's waiting to tell me which 3 tasks she wants me to take until after we hear from our last team member.

Um...right, Stephanie?

Do you want to take South America and Africa? That would cover the bonus points for where the mystery date is from :-)

As for the last one (book 5) I say go for whichever category you would like :-)

Does that work?

message 144: by Lanelle (new)

Lanelle | 4064 comments That works great. Thank you.

message 145: by Lynn (last edited Jan 26, 2015 12:20PM) (new)

Lynn | 2987 comments Yeah, that makes sense Lanelle.

We just need those two slots of Africa and South America to fill for the bonus points. I did read right that you only get bonus points for filling the categories once right?

I see that you do have books that could fill those slots but we might as well wait until everyone has checked in first.

Once those two have been filled, we can all read what we want.

message 146: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Yep! Bonus points only count once :-(

message 147: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Team! If you haven't, please look at the spreadsheet and let Lynn know if we have it correct, please :-)
You don't need me to assign you a space if that is what you are waiting for :)

message 148: by Lanelle (new)

Lanelle | 4064 comments I think I'll save my 5th choice just in case a task needs to be filled.

message 149: by Stephanie (new)

Stephanie Sorry can't edit from my phone :(
Let her know which square you will take :) more than one person can read a slot just the bonus points only count once :)
