I know how it is with frozen pipes. We actually went without water for half a day due to the main pipe leading to our place bursting about a month ago. Needless to say now our driveway and yard look like a big mud pit after they got done digging everything up to replace the pipe. At the same time our main pipe in our home froze and the landlord had a handful of heaters blowing on it to thaw it out. Not a fun day for me.
That is definitely not a fun day, Jennifer. Thankful that ours wasn't too bad and the heater seems like it did the trick..could have been worse here..they had to shut the power off to 4 units because of pipes that burst. I can't wait to move lol. :)
We can't wait to move either. Going to start looking sometime in April because we want to wait until the school year is over before moving. Hopefully we will be able to find something in the same school district so our oldest doesn't have to start all over with a school and new friends.
Hey all! It is time to vote for your mystery date! Head on over to the mystery date thread and vote :) I'm on the app and unable to add links, sorry!
I am so so sorry, I never took part in the toppler =/ I do feel so bad. I'm glad I only said I'd read 1 though, or I'd have felt like a real let down =[I've been having a major reading funk and it's ongoing. I can't seem to actually pick up a book ='[
But looks like the team did awesome, well done aHarmony.
Way to go team! It's ok Sarah, it happens to everyone.
I'm not going to have much time for reading anymore because I got a new job. But i'll squeeze it in when I can, providing i'm not too tired from the job and taking care of my little ones, lol.
No worries, Sarah. I've been in a bit of a reading funk as of late as well. I'm reading The Book Thief and I like it but am having a hard time sitting down to read. I read so much that my brain is like, "aaaghhh!" Lol! Congrats on the new job, Jennifer!!
Wow, I was honored to be part of such a termendous and rewarding effort. Hat's off to Travis and Lanelle and Danny - in the double didgets on the number of books they put away. Amazing!
I haven't checked in for a few days. Incredible scores! I'm always amazes by the amounts of books some people can read in a short period of time. Congrats to all participants and now I have many more books to read (like I needed them). As someone who works with the Department of Labor, I love hearing about people getting new jobs. Good for you, Jennifer.
I love that we won. Way to go everyone! Thanks to all of you for making my very first toppler so fun! :-)
I gad read some pretty long books in January so my yearly challengr had me behind 5 books or sonething. Nothing like a toppler to help resolve that now I'm 10 books ahead after the toppler boost. Great work everyone
I'll let everyone in on some fascinating statistics. This is my third team Toppler. Every time I've been on the same team with Travis. All three times we've won. Interesting, huh?
Lanelle wrote: "I'll let everyone in on some fascinating statistics. This is my third team Toppler. Every time I've been on the same team with Travis. All three times we've won. Interesting, huh?"hmmmm. i need to make sure i'm always on the same team as Travis from now on, lol
Thanks Stephanie and Roz. I do like the job, but I found out last night that I will only have it a year and then the "assignment" will end. But I can reapply if I choose after 6 months.
Nice pic Jmom. Very true in so many ways.Yes I have been on the winning team in wvery toppler I've participated. Every winning streak ends sooner or later though. My personal goal is to get yhrough close to 10 books. Whether the team wins or loses I like to try to give the same contribution every time. If the team wins thats just an added bonus. Since the teams are always slightly different I feel I need to get about the same book number every time to make me personally feel like I've acheived something.
