Lara | 1426 comments I finished The Perfume Collector by Kathleen Tessaro for Claire and Jamie Fraser, or for Elizabeth Bennett and Fitzwilliam Darcy as it takes place in the 1920s and 1950s for the most part.

J'mom has us conditioned so well, that we don't know what to do with ourselves when she throws something new at us. Do you think she's running an experiment on us and we're her guinea pigs?

This is only my second Toppler and I feel a need to complete all of the categories. I don't know if that makes me a good or a bad guinea pig! LOL

Liz (lizvegas) | 504 comments Kimey- I think we are all feeling the same way! lol

There's something inside of me that cringes when I see that we've completed the same task twice *gasp* while there are still gaps in other areas!

message 60: by Lara (new)

Lara | 1426 comments Liz, I'm struggling with the same feeling! So, I guess it's time to take a deep breath and remember that this is not so very important in the scheme of things. :-)

Marie (UK) (mazza1) | 2276 comments I have completed The World According to Bob: The Further Adventures of One Man and His Street-wise Cat from looking at the chart i think that means we have everything covered so i will look at my books and just pick something for the next one. If it is not too long i should get it in before the finish line looms

Marie (UK) (mazza1) | 2276 comments I have finished What She Left Behind what a fabulous book. Tense and full of emotion

It would fit
read a book where character has a job you would like date to have - museum curator
Historical fiction (fitzwilliam Darcey and Elizabeth Bennet)
perspective changes between past and present (claire and Jamie Fraser)

I also think it is a better fit for forbidden love than The Body of Jonah Boyd which i also read. One of the characters is committed to a mental institution because she insists she is in love with someone unsuitable.

Jonah Boyd could be used for job task as secretary to a psychology professor should make for interesting date chat

also my copy has back of man with legs showing so could go in pair of legs The Body Of Jonah Boyd by David Leavitt

i keep thinking about this book and really don't think it a good fit for the affair as although it is there it is not a big pat of the book

Lara | 1426 comments I finished Red Equinox by Douglas Wynne which is a horror book. I'm not sure it's really post-apocalyptic, but part of Boston has been reclaimed by the ocean and there are a lot of abandoned buildings.

KimeyDiann | 2174 comments Sorry I'm just now checking in, I had a super busy weekend. On the plus side though, I finished The Handmaid's Tale Saturday morning!

It can work for Dystopia, Post Apocalyptic, job you don't want your date to have.
