A new character was introduced in this story, DC Metro Police Detective Genie Reid. What did you make of her? Are you interested in seeing more of her?

I liked Genie, a lot. She took Lucy at face value and recognized that she was something special. She didn't get all "my way or the highway" and they worked really great together. I hope we see more of her.

[Robin]

She was smart and didn't have any problem working with the FBI. she didn't have any problems working with Lucy, even though Lucy isn't actually an agent. Since she's a detective in D.C., I'm hoping we see more of her.

Ditto to both your comments. She and Lucy worked together so easily, primarily because Genie didn’t get all territorial. I hope to see more of her.

Yep, they made a great team. Genie is a rare species. Not many officers would be so willing to work with and FBI agent. Also, I loved how she counted her bad words and put money aside and how Lucy counted when Genie didn't.

That brought some lightness to the moment.

I really liked Genie. I think she will continue to add some fun to these books. The scene about the swear jar was great.

I hope we see more of her. There are so many roadblocks to Lucy being an agent, I wouldn't be surprised if she changes goals at some point. I want her to partner with Sean but Genie's partner is a good second options.

There do seem to be an inordinate amount of obstacles popping up to threaten Lucy’s dream of becoming an FBI agent. It has me wondering...

I liked Genie, too, and hope she might pop up in future stories.
