Just finished a reread, after many years, of John Dickson Carr's The Crooked Hinge and I thoroughly enjoyed it, much more than I did first time round. I posted a few comments here: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
I just finished The Exploits of Fidelity Dove by Roy Vickers. A fun set of 12 tales from 1924. More female criminal outwits Scotland Yard Inspector than traditional mystery. Vickers pins a good tale. I think I'd like to try his Department of Dead Ends tales next. Has anyone here read them?
