nice, but when they stole..i mean, acquired the hogwarts express, it was said that the largest concealment charm ever performed in britain was done so i think it would be a lot easier to start small and find the leaky cauldron or better yet retrace Angus Buchanan's genealogy, he's said to have been the only squib to set foot in Hogwarts.
Potterpuff wrote: "Filch is a squib! Everyone knows Hogwarts is in Scotland, it says so in the book!"chill, i meant Angus is the only one to have gone to Hogwarts as a student or at least until he got ratted out by the sorting hat and yes Hogwarts is in Scotland, did i say otherwise? but Scotland isn't exactly the size of a cupboard and this discussion is about the "where" not the "if" it is in Scotland.
The location of Hogwarts is somewhat vague, though it is known to be in the Scottish Highlands, near the all-wizard village of Hogsmeade.

Take a look at this link https://www.google.com/maps/@56.88063... It's clear to me that the Hogwarts express uses the Glenfinnan Viaduct on it's way to Hogwarts.
If you'll take a close look at the islands in the North Eastern end of Loch Nan Uamh (https://www.google.com/maps/@56.88803...) you'll see even more viaducts that look suspiciously familiar. Keep an eye out for flying broomsticks but I didn't see any on Google Earth.
It's probably some wizardly trick to obscure muggle satellite technology!
