Does small press count as "indie"?

I'm not a moderator but you may be find my experience useful. "Small press" indicates you are publishing more than one author. Is that right? I publish books under my name and under a pen name under the imprint Rope's End Publishing. Rope's End is registered as a business in my state. I don't think of it as a small press because it's publishing only my books under two names. I consider myself an indie writer and an indie publisher.
Thanks C.J. I am not the publisher, but they are not among the "big five." They have a number of authors. I just looked up the definition on ALLi:
"Independent or 'indie' publisher: Smaller publishing company which, like the big conglomerates, commissions books from authors and publish at the company’s expense, not the author’s."
Also not a moderator, but for some reason I feel compelled to respond: It depends on who you ask (so asking the moderators their definition makes sense). There are some people that define independent publishing as only small presses, and others who include self-publishers in the definition (I count myself among the latter). Because of limited space, I'll point you to my post on it: https://bibliostatic.weebly.com/blog/...
For anyone looking for an Indie Publisher, I am an Author Representative to RWG Publishing who has been my Indie Publisher for 3 years/6 books. I love using RWG Publishing and through RWG, my books have gone on to Amazon's Best Seller lists in the U.S., U.K. and Canada. I highly recommend looking into this publisher, but RWG does not publish anything with R-rated material. Contact me more if you want to learn of great discounts and more information with this publisher! Website: www.rwgpublishing.com - Sunshine
