Chapter 14 - somewhere in chapter 18 (view spoiler)[ The action is starting to ramp up a notch, it's not too fast though which I like. The bombing attempt seemed very amateurish and has only served to ramp up security.

I think Asia (boo hiss) still things Sam is a cute puppy. She hasn't seen the boy or the scary wolf side of him. She is feeding bad info to someone. (I'm assuming she is "Miss Know-it-all".) I'm nervous for Sam. I don't know what effect it would have on him to be kidnapped even if he was was freed in exchange for Meg and I'm not sure that would happen - I think the bad guys would try to keep both. The thought of Meg going back to her controller makes me shudder!

Tess does not look threatening although I suspect she is probably the most dangerous o the lot. The other Other seem to think so as well as she got her way and got everyone to leave. Once they are all cut and cannot get prophecies anymore, they drain them? I would not be surprise to find out that the responsible for the Cassandra "shelter" would side as a drug dealer.

I finished last night too. Really enjoyed the story. I was drawn into the world and the characters and I'm not bothered that all the questions weren't answered, there has to be a hook for the next book. I thought the ending was a little weak, it sort of fizzled out a bit so I'll rate it 4 stars and I'll definitely continue the series.

Recycling was a big theme of the book :-) But like Esther, I wonder about who buys the drug. It doesn't seem to give users any pleasure, it just makes them angry and violent. Is it only used to spike the food supply to further the war between the humans and the others? So it seems, but who gains from that?

Like Christina, I loved the bad ass characters but Tess intreged me the most. She's one scary woman!
