Different editions to already existing books can be added by everyone. Librarians prioritize books that are not yet added to the database.

Books in general can be added by anyone, there do not necessarily have to be one or more editions already in the database.

Adding a new edition to a book already in the database: click on "Add a New Edition" underneath the book's details on the book page.

To add a new book not in the database yet: https://www.goodreads.com/book/new , or add it from the author's page if they are in the database.
(NB Before adding a new book, always search properly, preferably by ISBN.)
