These are the challenge prompts for this readathon. Challenge prompts are fun, optional prompts that can be completed for the book you read. Each challenge prompt earns your team one extra point per book/prompt completed! If you have any questions feel free to ask below. Also if you have any suggestions for spooky prompts, put them below.

1. Read a book with a primarily orange, black, or purple cover
2. Read a book with a black cat on the cover
3. Read a book where one of the characters goes trick or treating
4. Read a book of short spooky stories
5. Read a book featuring a Halloween Party
6. Read a classic Halloween book (The Legend of Spooky Hollow, Dracula, Frankenstein, etc.)
7. Read a book where one of the characters carves a pumpkin
8. Read a book with fall leaves on the cover
9. Read a book with an unluckly number of 13 chapters/stories
10. Read a book while curled in a blanket with a warm drink
11. Read a book with a variety of fall colors on the cover (reds, oranges, yellows, etc.)
12. Read a book that relates in some way to your team name
13. Read a book with a friendly ghost in it
14. Read a book with a ghost on the cover
15. Read a book from the point of view of a villian
16. Read a book with a spooky looking moon on the cover
17. Read the October BOTM (House of Salt and Sorrows)

Sounds great! I changed it to "Read a book with a friendly ghost in it" to make it a little more specific

Do you mean like just a book featuring any villain in general?

I already have one where you read a book with an orange cover, so I added the other colors you gave to that one!

Since we now have 16 challenge prompts, I will be closing this to new suggestions for now. I may open it up a little later in the challenge. The topic will remain unlocked in case anyone has any questions.

Tessa Herondale~Carstairs (jessawessa) would this book count- Warriors Don't Cry: A Searing Memoir of the Battle to Integrate Little Rock's Central High

it has nothing to do with Halloween, but I have to read it for school and the colors of the cover may count?

Since the book doesn't seem to fit under any of the themes for the readathon, it does not count.

Tessa Herondale~Carstairs (jessawessa) so a book has to fit a prompt and the halloween theme?

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

Tessa wrote: "so a book has to fit a prompt and the halloween theme?"

All of the books need to fit one of the themes listed at the top of the completed books page. The challenge prompts are optional and are additional to the completed book to gain more points.
