I think we can all agree that the Grishaverse is just such an awesome world and it’s so great that Leigh is making connections between the books. Some characters from the original trilogy are named in SoC😍😍

Absolutely agree Isa. The world is full of mystery and intrigue and always in my mind, shrouded with shadows.

this is one of my favourite books of all time. i really hope that i'll get to reread it soon since it's so good! i really wish that we would get a book 3, since i really want to see more of kaz, inej, wylan and jesper. or maybe it would be cool if they have some kind of role in rule of wolves.
i loved the romance between kaz and inej since it wasn't really like anything i read before. in the first book matthias really pissed me off, but in the second book i started to like him more.
my favourite character has to be inej, she is just so cool and smart. and how the hell does she manage to walk without making a sound, how the hell is she so quiet?
the grisha universe will forever be a favourite on mine. the wouldbuilding is so amazing and unique. and leigh bardugo's book deserve all the hype they get.

I haven’t red King of Scars and Crooked Kingdom yet, but I think it would be so awesome of the dregs crossed paths with more ‘original’ Grisha characters. Just like Lucy said; it would be great if they had some sort of role in Rule of Wolves :)
Isa wrote: "If you look for book 3 on Goodreads you find it, although it’s not complete of course"I 100% agree. I have not read King of Scars either but cannot wait until I get there. Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom are legitimately some of my favorites of all time. The series has a vibe that literally cannot be compared to any other book series imo.
I also have noticed, and maybe I'm wrong, that this series created a trend of "gangster fantasy" in YA books. I'm seeing a lot of new YA releases that define themselves as gangster fantasy and I am here for it
I think as far as heists go, Six of Crows is one of the best. Funny, sarcastic, and plenty of action, but also at the same time tender in some moments and really thoughtful and touching (I'm thinking about that scene in the carriage or something when Inej realised that Kaz fainted :((((()
Usually I don’t have a lot of patience for slow-burn romances in YA, especially if they’re dragged on for wayyy too long. But the super slow burn romance between Kaz and Inej is something that I love love LOVE about the Six of Crows duology. Leigh Bardugo is so amazing at creating these complex and compelling characters and relationships. Like even a character like Matthias; who was super questionable at times and I sort of didn’t really see as being more than a side character at first, had this great redemption arc that completely changed how I see him now. As a discussion point, I wonder what all your thoughts are for the upcoming Netflix adaptation of this - do you think that everything that we all love about this book series and the Grishaverse in general will come through visually?
I plan to binge it in one day, but I really don’t know what to expect. Leigh said it was a huge fanfiction, so maybe it doesn’t fit the book. I hope to get some darklina😂😍, but I just hope it’s gonna be awesome!!How about you guys?
I recently finished this series, and I really enjoyed it! It had great world-building and characters, hilarious banter, cleverly written schemes, and so many unexpected moments! This was such a great story about rising up against all odds, not letting your differences or weaknesses define who you are, and working hard to get what you want. The characters in this series were also very unique, and the character development and interactions was amazing, especially with the romance included in the story.I’m looking forward to the Netflix adaption, it’ll be interesting to see how the Shadow and Bone and Six of Crows series are brought together in one TV show. Also, I heard something about Alina being half-Shu, which I guess will add in some diversity in the show, which might be quite interesting.
i'm really excited for the show! i don't expect it to be the same as the books, but i still hope that i'm going to like. like yeah, it can be different from the books, but at the same time it can be an amazing tv show. i have pretty high hopes, especially bc the cast is amazing

I'm excited for the third book, if it ever comes out! I think Crooked Kingdom ended on a painful cliffhanger that needs more resolution.
I liked Kaz and Inej's romance better in CK. SoC definitely wasn't one of my favorite books. I think I rated it two stars. The plot was rushed, the pacing was bad, and the tragic backstories just weren't tragic. But CK, IMO, was a masterpiece.
I think in some ways, although Kaz and Inej's romance was as some would say barely there, it was sweet because for once we see a book not dominated by the romance, and it was realistic because Inej has said many times that although she loves Kaz, she would not spend her life trying to fix him, and Kaz naturally has insecurities and doesn't really get close to anyone. So although I was screaming for more, I understood why there wasn't a lot.
I haven't read Crooked Kingdom (my library doesn't have it :(() but from what one of my friends have told me, I rekon there should be a novella
I just read this! Except that I was an idiot and forgot to put the second book on hold so now I have to wait forever
