I'm kinda thinking Henry has some sort of weird curse on him, but instead of being forgotten everyone wants him. Wasn't a huge fan of how Addie was orchestrating the relationship between her and Tobey. It was weird, bc she knows he won't remember in the end and she doesn't even try to warn him?? Shady. She steals stuff constantly; she uses other people's homes and forms relationships with people despite the fact that they never remember her.

I like it more than I thought I will, I'm on audio and ebook and having a very good time with this.
I think I'm almost already attached to Addie and Toby and hoping he sticks around.

Okay this took an interesting turn.. I didn't think it was this dark actually but am still glad I picked it up, I'm continuing on ebook rather than audio because it feels much better..
But I kind of already dislike something.. (view spoiler)[ okay so I don't like judgemental characters in general so I'm not comfortable with the main character mentally attacking a girl for wanting to get married and have children, I always feel it should be the girl's choice and some girls actually want to start families I just didn't like portraying it in a downgrading way.. I'm also religious and uncomfortable with the idea of the book but it is captivating still.. (hide spoiler)]

Kell's coat in A Darker Shade of Magic and in Vicious the main character blocks out text with a sharpie constantly. I am pretty sure Schwab is consciously giving her characters these really memorable and interesting quirks. I love it!

Yeah, that's what I mean. It is just something that stands out to me in her writing! Of all things, I am not really sure why that stands out!

Kell is one of the main characters in her Shades of Magic series. It's a great series.
