I deleted my June 28th statement in this thread. I thought that Francis didn't post his July writing challenge, but he did back in April. If you're interested in seeing it, go here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
I hope everyone has a safe and happy July 4th weekend.

For some reason, I don't remember this discussion for 2021 (posted in 2020 during the pandemic.) Some people gave feedback about not wanting monthly contests; perhaps having them quarterly. And to change it up like we have been discussing. Here is the link to read: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

I've been "cleaning house" here in Writers 750 to reflect the coming changes. Next up, where to post these new threads for the categories we'll work on in the future.

It was difficult to start "folders" with our new ongoing projects. I had to use existing old folders and edit the names. That's why you'll see dated 2016. But look for the main folder "Ongoing Writing Projects". There you will see Haiku Poetry in one folder and Micro Fiction Writing in another. I was unable to create new folders. It kept giving me an error and asking if I was a robot.

I know what you mean, Justin. It has affected us all. It should be our priority to remain in a positive frame of mind. Seek out what gives you peace. Disconnect from the news media. Don't spend much time on social forums that spew hate. If you have faith in God, that is a plus. Stream music that comforts your soul. 2Cellos played a big part in keeping us in a positive mind and spirit after Hurricane Michael a category 5 hurricane damaged our property. Panama City Beach, Florida was affected, and Mexico Beach to the East of us was hit the worst. And then the pandemic... The hits keep on coming. But you know, this isn't my home; I'm just passing through. I'm trading this worn-out body for a stronger, eternal one in heaven. I find that getting a theme in my head and writing some Haiku poetry gives me satisfaction. I plan on participating in the Round Robins and micro fiction that I set up yesterday. No pressure. Post when you want. Hope to see some writing from you in the future.

I posted a Round Robin explaining the characters and background. Of course, you can add any twists to this. We have to pay attention to the direction of the story submitted. Contribute any time. The maximum word count is 1,000. https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

T.J. Fisher (tjfisherwriter) Anyone ever overwhelmed by marketing on social media?

Hi, T.J. We haven't talked about marketing in I don't know when. I've been trying to focus on group participation. That's why we are changing from monthly voting challenges to quarterly challenges, round robins, and haiku poetry.
