The Death Cure
question
Arduous read….

I'm halfway through the Death Cure. Is anyone finding this as an arduous read as I am? I feel like they start one thing then get side tracked into another, then another then another track. It's been this way since Maze Runner ended. I just hope the pay off is worth it. :/
UPDATE:
Well, I ended up finishing it. I at least wanted to know what happened. However, I skimmed really fast to the end by reading the the first and last sentence of each paragraph. lol I did that and dont feel like I missed anything. It was such a struggle. I feel like all the "twists" and turns were just filler in order to make it a trilogy and be able to sell more books. I think what started out as a promising story went down hill quickly. I had read the Scorch Trials because I felt it would lead to something more exciting but I was pretty disappointed with the lengthy….jumble. I think the ending was okay I just thing we could have gotten there a lot quicker!

I agree, I struggled to finish it and did so out of curiosity and not because I was enjoying the read.
I loved The Maze Runner, and thought The Scorch Trials was good.
This not so much. But do finish it, just so you know how it all ends. Also don't bother with the prequel.

you know what? i felt the EXACT same wya that you do when i read both The Scorch Trials and The Death Cure. I felt like while the series started off in such a good place with a lot of action, there was a lot that just got either derailed or completely thrown off course and it made it really hard for me to follow and WANT to follow.
i think that you'll be happy if you make it through the end of the book - it'll be like a great sense of accomplishment .

Haters unite! Heh...
Yeah, the last book did drag, but I mostly overlooked the drag-iness because of other problems (plot holes, boredom, etc.).
