Lively : Full of life and energy. At first, Eden wears a wide smile and an overwhelming amount of confidence, only because she knows that her life could not get any worse then it already was. She's content with majority of her life, and always seems to give off a calm, warm vibe that tends to draw people in.

Destructive : Eden loathes herself, thinks that it's her fault that her family is gone. She tends to channel this self-hatred towards violent things, harmful things. Be it towards herself or others.

Aware : Observant, aware, mindful, whatever you want to call it. Eden is aware of her surrounds, aware of the odd glances she gets for the scars she bears and the title she holds. She's calm, acts like she doesn't know enough secrets that could put you in hell for eternity times four. You'd eventual notice that she doesn't care about what rumors are about her, just as long as you don't say anything about her family, you're safe.

Spiteful : What do you expect from someone who literally want's her father dead. She doesn't care if he's a god, he needs to suck it up and face her like a decent person and explain to her why the hell he had done that to her mother.
Eden can hold a grudge for a long time, uses it to fuel her anger and motivate her. Sometimes it can be healthy, other times not so much.

Distant : Eden tends to push everybody away, to hang back from the crowd and lean against a wall. She tends to have everybody at arm's length, denying them the ability to get any closer. If you do manage to break down her walls, you're in for one hell of a ride.

The Daughter of Ra
She could never rid herself of him, ever. He was her father after-all, the holder of a gift which came from the sun. Eden hated him. Hated the burns on her skin, hated the scars from that fire, she hated Ra . He hadn't said a word when she went blind from the sun, his sun. Hadn't tried to stop her when his worshippers burned her for being the one to bear his child. She should've been worshipped, yet she was murdered.

The Child of The Sun
That was a title that Eden would never be able to rid herself of. Did she regret joining that underground fight club? Sometimes, but it had been worth it. The concerts hadn't been paying off her caretaker's hospital bills, so she had resorted to, desperate measures.
Now, she goes on her day with fresh scars on her swollen knuckles, ignoring the whispers of her boxing name. The Child of the Sun .

Those three words made her want to puke, to burn this man clad in fancy clothes and buying her and her friends dinner. Yet she didn't, instead that night she had drank expensive wine and cheap whiskey like it was her last night on this world.
It could've been. All she knew was that Ra was watching her with anger and disappointment, good.

Glow - Ra of the Sun loved his daughter so, that he gave her the gift to illuminate in the darkest of shadows. . The gift to conjure pure light, for her skin to glow as if she were a cracked glow stick. It's oddly beautiful, you can see each vein and muscle, see bone and her insides if she let's her power go on for a certain amount of time.

The Flame of Gods - A father never turns his back on love, for when the day came that his lover fell, he gifted his daughter with a raging fire to kill those who should. She can bring forth flames from the sun itself in her palms. It only harms those of utmost sin and guilt. Of course, such a feat has scorched her skin and left gruesome scars.

Abilities: Atmokinesis — the ability to control the weather. She loves storms and wind, and can summon a hurricane to surround her. She can also summon a small sphere of lightning, so compressed that it’s like a miniature star (not quite that destructive obviously, but...)

"Don’t call me gorgeous. Call me something I really am."

Looks: Lazuli has long, tumbling silver-white hair and dark, star-flecked sapphire blue eyes that pin you to the spot, but that also make you get lost in them. She’s tall and graceful, and has dark ebony skin. Her body is long and lean, with hourglass curves.
Because she’s a model, she has good endurance and is very fit, since she always has to maintain her figure and keep looking her best. Lani is stronger than she looks and has great reflexes. She’s also gotten a bit of stunt training in preparation for her debut as an actress.

Dress Style: she’s used to designer outfits, statement jewelry and celebrity style. Think BLACKPINK crossed with Romee Strijd, and then the Met Gala for photoshoots. She pulls off daring styles as a job. At home, when she can relax (which happens rarely) she wears sweatpants, sweaters or T-shirts. But always designer — she can’t escape it. Going out for something "casual", she still has to wear something stylish. Cameras, fans and peers could be anywhere.
Her makeup is usually natural and flattering, something that shows off her looks but isn’t over-the-top. She pulls off brighter styles when she tries to, like at major shoots with vivid colors. But on magazine covers or designer catalogs, she’ll go natural and let her face, body and look speak for itself. She’d rather not look like a clown. And besides, she always has to look commanding — she’s a Two.

Personality: Lazuli is poised, cold and imperious. She’s authoritative and a bit intimidating, commanding attention as soon as she steps into the room. She knows her power and she knows exactly how to handle it. Lani does not tolerate weakness or disrespect, and she makes sure people around her know it.
She’s intelligent and can be a bit manipulative. She’s emotionally aware of others, great at talking and good at handling people if she needs to. Keyword: if she needs to. Otherwise, they can stay out of her way, and she’ll stay out of theirs. As a model and training actress, she knows how to turn on the charm, the anger, the sass. She knows how to change emotions.
Lazuli is mature and clever, and cunning. Classic Slytherin. She is powerful and she knows it. She is fortunate, and she knows it. And she’s always composed, regal and alert. You never know where a power move might come from.
She might not be intentionally condescending, but sometimes she can be. She’s not spoiled, but she can be entitled. Lani isn’t used to having things given to her — she knows she has to earn them. But she also knows the easiest ways to do it.
Under that, she’s a bit of an airhead (yes I meant that ironically, I’ll leave now). Lazuli’s kind of dreamy, and loves imagining new ideas or worlds. She’s creative and artistic. But she doesn’t really show it, other than drawing a lot. She can’t. It fits her, to have a sketchbook or something with her, because of her caste - she was training to be an actress before the Selection. Other than that, she can’t let herself zone out. It risks too much of her reputation.
But.
Lani is...insecure. Under the poised, glamorous exterior, is an unsure seventeen-year-old. Is she smart enough? Is her tone right, is the lighting on her face too much, is there enough powder on her cheekbones? Is she strong enough, is there enough attention on her, has she done enough to earn it all?
Or is the pressure too much for her to handle? Why isn’t the love enough for her?
Lazuli is terrified that she won’t be good enough. She’s never been able to earn the love she wants.

Likes: GIRLS the night sky, stars, yoga, storms and rain, success, the spotlight, proving herself to others, red velvet cake (she doesn’t get it to eat it often, though), compliments, drawing/sketching, writing, reading

History: Lazuli was found by her father in the living room of his penthouse. The two-year-old had been left there by her mother — and upon seeing her starry eyes and dark skin, he realized exactly who that was. To get rid of the proof, he sent Lani off to his estranged sister, equally as wealthy and almost as uncaring.
Lazuli’s aunt gave her whatever she wanted — mostly. Lani got her toys or jewelry or dresses, and she loved posing with them or showing them off at her private schools. Which was how her aunt got the idea to make her a model.
She took the seven-year-old Lazuli to a modeling agency in the city, and when they found out who she was, immediately agreed to sign her. Of course, her unique coloring and pretty face were a good reason too.
Every year, she would visit her mother for five days — the last five days of the year. Ironically, those were the five days that Nut gave birth to her godly children, called the Demon Days. Lazuli would spend those days in the sky with her mother. Nut treated her well, listening to whatever she had to say and training her to think or challenge differently. She would always return “home” remembering whatever lessons her mother had taught her.
So, Lani was taken care of in all aspects. Physically, she had whatever she needed, and unlike most other children, she had a job that gained her fame and fortune. Mentally, she attended all the best schools and spent her winter holidays learning from her mother.
But that was never what she wanted. Everyone who raised her just used Lazuli for their own gain. Her father sent her away to clear his name. Her aunt made her a celebrity for the wealth and status. And her mother didn’t care for her past what Lani attributed to the goddess.
All Lazuli wanted was their love and approval. But her mother was only happy because Lani gained her respect — having the adoration of so many humans strengthened her as an immortal. Nut didn’t truly care for her as much as the esteem she garnered. The sky goddess was not the motherly figure her mythology painted her out to be.
Lazuli was raised to believe that fame and respect from others was the only thing that mattered. She’s spent her whole life trying to please her mother, aunt and even her father. She’s gotten onto magazine covers and TV interviews...but it’s still not enough. She has rivals in the sphere of fame, other girls trying to take her spot. She should be irreplaceable.
On her last visit to her mother, right before her seventeenth birthday, Lani came out. She told her mother about a girl she had met on set, hoping for acceptance or understanding.
But what her mother gave her was not that. Nut didn’t care about her romantic life. She cared about the status that it garnered. And if loving a girl would get her bad press, then Lazuli was forbidden from being public about her romance.
So Lani entered the Selection. She’d get the freedom and power that she wanted — and the respect her mother craved. She’d win it all. Because becoming the queen would be enough, wouldn’t it?

ʜɪꜱᴛᴏʀʏ (5+ ꜱᴇɴᴛᴇɴᴄᴇꜱ): Kane was born after a one-night-stand between a woman from a wealthy family and an unknown father, later revealed to be Anubis. The boy's family was ashamed of him and hid him from the world, forbidding him from leaving the house. His family members were always either ignoring him or treating him like dirt, and when he was ten, Kane decided he'd had enough of it. He escaped through the window and ran away in the night. After a few days of walking, sleeping on the ground and eating out of trash cans, he stopped at a farm and offered to help with the coming harvest for a reasonable price. The owner was skeptical about hiring a tiny kid, but he was conveniently short-handed and needed more people, so he agreed. The money Kane got from working there was enough to pay a month's rent at a relatively cheap inn. He started living there and doing random jobs, and eventually got into a sort of routine. However, his half-sister Mallory has been looking for him for years, and she put his name into the Selection as a way of finding him. So yeah, now he's here. Fun.

Selfless - Say it with me know. He. Does. Not. Care. About. Himself. For the Royal family, he's all about them and would do anything to keep them from harm’s way. If they were to get hurt when hewas around, hewould blame himself and do the best he could to fix it.
It's sad though, he once got hurt to save a random stranger. It had been in a barfight, and one of the guys pulled out a gun and shot at the older stranger. Would've killed them if Quin hadn't jumped in.
Blam!
Quin had literally grabbed onto the stranger and shoved him away moments before a bullet tore through a muscle in his back and buried itself into a bottle of whiskey in the bartender's hands.

Calm - Unlike Quill, Quin is more of the quiet, collected type. He likes it when nothing happens and if everything's boring and dull. He can live a dull life and be fine but nooo, his job is the opposite of dull. The royal Guard are a tight-knit bunch who act like idiots off the job. He's the mom of the group, the DD. Give him some hugs people, he needs it.

Exhausted - His job alone wears him out, but his brother? Sheesh Quin does not get a break with Quill. The two are always out, working late shifts, doing fitness shit and helping others. Sometimes the guy doesn't get time to himself and it ends up with him getting really bitchy.

Confident - He knows that he's hot, he knows that he's strong and fast, so why can't he be confident in himself yeah? He's happy with his life, got a good job, staying with his brother and best friend, and sees his mother twice a month! Now he isn't rubbing this in other's faces, but he takes pride in knowing he has it good.

Blunt - Really just straightforward, get-to-the-point kind’ve guy. With those he’s used to, he has the tendency to trail off into his own thoughts, thinking about random thinks and saying them out loud. He'sthe first person you’d go to for an opinion. He's blunt, and it might hurt, but he gives the most honest and best opinion.

Secretive - Really just doesn’t like to talk about what goes on in his head, of why his moods change drastically and he goes all incognito on everyone. Getting him to open up and come out of his shell is the Damn hardest thing to do- harder then getting the Devil to trust you. Frankly, he didn’t really give that much information on his life to everyone, but the scars on his and his brother's body are enough for everyone to know something changed him. But for better or worse?

Impatient - Really just doesn’t like waiting. Finds it a waste of time. It’s either your early and get to go somewhere, or late and he leaves you behind. No in between, he's a very punctual person. You have to be there before, or on time, or he'll just leave you in the dust.

Energetic - Loves to just go. He and Quin go on morning and evening jogs to burn off leftover energy. Honestly don't be surprised if he tells you he hasn't slept in a few days, it's normal. This guy loves wasting time on either his guitar or knife throwing. Unlike Quill, he can't stay in one place for long.

Agitated - Easily Provoked. Angry all the time for no damn reason- well he has his reasons, and just doesn't like to talk about it.

Abilities: Toxikinesis - Arsinoe can withstand almost all dosages of poison, though the deadliest will still affect her. She can also manipulate poisons, reducing or increasing their amounts or dosages. She has an affinity for Deathstalkers, and could summon or control a few if she tried. Most venomous animals will listen to her, but she can’t control them the way she does Deathstalker scorpions.

Looks: Arsinoe has golden skin and is very small and petite. She seems plain, until you see her face. Her eyes will pin you to the spot with their stare - one is golden-hazel, and the other is dark chocolate-brown. Her hair is a long chocolate brown. She is unnervingly fast, despite her small size, and she’s great at acrobatics. So she’s pretty strong.

Dress Style: she isn’t picky. Anything clean, the right size, and decent-looking works. Preferably something she can move in easily, but that’s not really a problem since she doesn’t have much variety. For performances she wears flexible suits. Arsinoe doesn’t like bright colors, so most of what she owns is pretty neutral. She hates heels, though, and when she can get away with it she’ll wear boots. Jewelry is...not really a thing.

Personality: Arsinoe Levant does not give a flying fuck. She’s blunt and honest, screw your feelings, and if you even try to come at her she’ll send you off. Sass, honesty and eye rolls are her dominant traits.
Arsinoe is sarcastic and nothing seems to bother her. She’s done with people dancing around the bush and would rather just give it to them. This may not be the best strategy for addressing royalty or other Selected, but again, she doesn’t care a bit. It’s refreshing, really, to have someone who just says it.
However, she doesn't say everything. She’s secretive and mysterious, covering that up with her pure bluntness. Don’t ask her about your past unless you want to be sucker-punched - with sass or her fist. Both are destructive.
Arsinoe is actually pretty level-headed for someone who flies off on idiots. She’s intelligent and observant, and because of her constant candor, she knows how to tell when someone is lying.
As you can probably tell, Arsinoe does not deal with people. She’s an independent person and screw you if you think you can impose or get in. She doesn’t rely on anyone, ever. Deal with it.
