Des Hunt's first book with a female main character. Set in Christchurch. A good adventure story, with animal smugglers, fake alternative medicines, use of technology for spying (by the children), making new friends, cyber-bullying, and the effects of the Christchurch earthquakes. I enjoyed it. Interestingly, adults are an integral part of the story as supporters and participants. The two main characters are Year 8 students. One is underweight and one is overweight. In the story they help each other with their weight issues.
