Usually, in these sorts of things, you give your name right off the bat. But I don't necessarily want to do that.
It's not as though I am hiding my name or anything - it's right there, in the corner of this post, my name and face. Regardless, I feel it would be better if you did not think of me as a name or a face, but rather a person (somewhere) that is sitting on their computer, typing directly to you, as though we were long-time friends.
Why do I wish such things? Perhaps, it is the fact that this journal or whatnot, is me, pure and simple. I refuse to hold anything back, in those regards and - ergo - will not.
That being said, I feel I should introduce myself in a different manner than is normal...after all, a name is merely a name.
I am a writer and a reader, a geek and a nerd. I have 15 cats and a dog. I am a high school student (ninth in my class out of 80), and I also hold a part-time job at my local library. I am in all those dreadfully hard classes (advanced placement, and the like), and also have played the piano for a now-total of 11 years. I even hold a place on the board of student council. Everybody in my little high school in my little town knows those things.
I'm also gay. But nobody, except for you reading this, knows that.
It's funny, if you think about it - you, perhaps a complete and perfect stranger, now knows more about me than people I have known my entire life.

It's perfectly hilarious.
