Elizabeth (returning guest) and Laurie (new guest) join me in the pub to chat about books we've read and liked lately, from memoirs to fantasy to YA to poetry. I'd love to hear feedback on the three-person episodes; there will be a few before the end of the year.

Jeff Koeppen (jeff_koeppen) | 181 comments I really enjoyed the three person episode. I think it fosters more banter. One of the reasons I like the podcast is the variety of readers and you can really mix it up with a trio. It was neat to hear a familiar voice and a new person on this episode.

Dree | 24 comments I am not a huge fan of the 3-person episode, as I pick and choose the episodes I listen to. I will listen to any new guest. But then there are certain guests I skip every time (after the first appearance), and other guests I listen to as soon as the episode is out. It's weird with 3 people, since it is hard to get a 3-way convo going and I can't get a read on the guests' tastes as easily.

But in any case I am currently listening to Moxie on Hoopla. I had never heard of it, but it is super cute even if it makes me feel old.

Offline I'd love to hear who you skip and who you listen to! ;)

Interesting that the 3-person is a mixed reaction. I had one more with Chris and Emily from the Book Cougars, but they are used to talking together and it's more like I'm the third person haha.

I had one more 3-person planned for 2020 but one of the 2 guests couldn't do it so you won't see it for a while! But there are some great new guests coming now and in the new year, and most are in this group. Huzzah!

Elizabeth, I've heard from several that picked up Moxie after you talked about it. Funny that it wasn't actually the book you featured but something about it really connected with people.

Elizabeth☮ | 268 comments Sometimes the book not featured is the book that hits home for some. I'm glad I've brought some attention to a local author (and educator).
