Trying to Remember a Book

I'm trying to find a book I read a few years ago but I can only remember the plot. It's similar to the Fantasy of Frost series. A girl lives with her mother and sister in a village a part of a larger clan. There is some kind of veil over the sky that erases people including her father (threats to overall society) which the main character fights at some point. The girl is a great archer and at the beginning of the book shots down all of the swinging apples. Her sister is great with a crossbow. The girl and another girl (good at throwing axes) participate with the other men of the clan against other clans in competitions similar to gladiator style. The veil or whatever it is teams up with another clan to fight them. Towards the end, the girl gets the veil or being to erase itself because it is a danger to society. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I've been driving myself crazy trying to find it.
