October 22 is National "Smart is Cool" day in the US. So read a book where you learned something (doesn't have to be non-fiction).
It's the month for voting - read a book that was nominated for an award
As in this month “Girl’s Child day” is celebrated. So, read a book having a story of a girl having girl’s name on its title.
Anybody know what's going on that we dont have a poll yet? Only 2 days to go. Hope nothing is wrong with our leader.
We have a WINNER.

We invite YOU to nominate a theme for next month.
Perhaps there's a holiday (major or obscure) you want to celebrate? Maybe you want to focus on a specific genre? Want to look for cover image or color? Focus on the author's initials? Whatever "theme" you can come up with is fair game.
ONE nomination per member
To encourage participation from more members, the person who nominated LAST month's winning theme cannot nominate this month. So, Book Concierge, you will *not* be able to submit a nomination (though you WILL be able to vote).
DEADLINE - 25Sep20 5p CDT, or 5 nominations (whichever comes first)
Once the nominations are closed, we'll set up a poll for membership to vote on the theme for next month.
NOMINATED THEMES:
* "Smart Is Cool" Day - read a book where you learned something; Fiction or nonfiction (Jaret)
* A month for voting - read a book that was nominated for an award (Rosa)* Girl's Child Day - read a book with a story of a girl, having a girl's name in the title. (Mystique)
