Francis Jackson | 5 comments As mentioned in the title, it's an ongoing sci-fi/fantasy trilogy that I think started in the 80's. Not sure about that but I do know there was a large gap between books 1 and 2 and a very large gap between 2 and 3 (3 is yet to come out)

From the brief synopsis I remember reading on wikipedia. It was about 2 very powerful beings who have battled throughout the ages, have different plans for our world and have caused the major events of our world due to their battles/feud. They have shaped the world through their actions. I think one was more good and the other more evil but not sure if quite as black and white as that. The book tells of their fight I think. I don't know much more than that and sorry if that's not much to go on but it has been bugging me as it sounded a very interesting series. I thought the series or first book started with the letter O but can't seem to find it with that letter.

Oh and 99% certain author is male and for young adults

Tales of Alderley Series starting with The Weirdstone of Brisingamen?

Or Exiles, starting with The Ruins of Ambrai?

I am honestly not sure, I think young adults but not entirely sure, sorry. However, I get the impression it was for young adults and not teens

Lance | 2 comments It sounds like the first two books of Xanth by Piers Anthony. Check out the 2nd book The Source of Magic on wiki and read the plot. It's vague but I remember that 2 gods/demons battling and the world is made from them being in check or something. Hope that helps!

Francis Jackson | 5 comments Lance thank you, it wasn't those but that sounds interesting so will look it up. I found the book I was looking for, turns out it's more adult than I initially thought. It's the book of the art trilogy by Clive Barker and the first novel is called the Great and Secret Show, thanks everyone for your help, very much appreciated!
