Loralei walks in three minutes late, breathless from sprinting. "I'm so sorry, I swear I'm not usually late" she says as she sinks into a desk, blushing.
Loralei is struggling not to cry.
"Yeah, but I was late, and now the teacher probably hates me or thinks I'm a bad student!"
It’s okay everyone, now class shall start
"What are we going to be learning today?"
She whispers to Naomi "I hope we learn transfiguring small parts of people, but we may not be that advanced yet."
She keeps whispering "Hey do you want to go to Hogsmeade later? Another Ravenclaw, Aoife, is going to."
"Sure! I'll ask him." (Can we do it in a couple hours though? Bcuz I only have 5 more minutes on sorry.)
"Wait, Nic is your cousin right? Maybe we can ask Des too!"
"It's so weird, there are barely any males here. There's one male teacher out of 5, and 3 male students out of like 11 students!"
"Nvm, 4 male students out of 12!"

Okay, everyone, listen up, we are already 15 minutes through class and haven’t done any work. Is there any requests for things to transfigure?

“Okay, everyone, take you wand and move it like this.” She shows the students how to swish their wands. “And say this:” she says a spell.

“That is correct Nic, everyone, please don’t name your owls, we’ll have to turn them into quills again.”
Actually, maybe Naomi, for now you can

I remember when I was your age and I desperately wanted to keep my owl. In the future we won’t be turning things into animals that you could keep.

Loralei snickers at Naomi and Nic's fighting.
The professor stood as a harpy eagle high abovw in his window watching the students clamber into his classroom. What a pathetic group of young minds meant to be molded, but no matter he was confident enough in his skills that at least two could pass their OWLS.
Zeke entered the class seeing the professor Birdbrain gawking at the room below. He sat at a table set for three the room filled quickly with Slytherin and Hufflepuff. It was only a matter of time before wack job made his grand morning entrance. 6th and 7th years were in the mix and some lesser years who were advanced students. The morning air in this room was bright and warm it was expected to rain, but morning sunrise was spectacular shining rays through the windows.
Judah slowly walked in dragging her feet on the ground. She didn’t want to be here and definitely didn’t want to be noticed. She groaned, another advanced class. This one was full of 6 and 7th years. She kept her head down as she walked hoping no one talked to her.
Zeke saw Judah and waved over. "Come join the I hate this class table. Professor Birdcage is flying around somewhere I'm sure." He snickered a bit at his own snide remark. He played with his quill making it float with a silent spell and begin to copy notes from the turning chalk board at the front of the room.
She laughed a little and sighed so much for not being noticed. She slid into the seat across from him. She closed her eyes and breathed heavily. When she opened them she was still I the same horrible class. Grabbing a quill she began copying what board said.
Zeke frowned for only a moment, "So you gonna sit there all goody goody or talk a bit class hasnt even begun and you are already pushing notes by hand." He just rolled his eyes and stared up as if expecting the ceiling to fall. He quickly turned his head to clambering footsteps entering the room it was the 7th year Hufflepuffs. Zeph entered the room with a smile and a few quiet laughs between chums. He made his way to a table but all three spots were taken. Still giggling a bit at their previous conversations he dropped his books beside Judah. "Mind if I sit?" He wasnt really even asking, but he was polite enough to wait for her answer.
She laughed and rolled her eyes "Actually I do mind". She glared at him "But I'm guessing you weren't really asking". She scooted her chair across the floor and it made an ear piercing screeching noise. The whole class turned and looked at her. She scooted her chair over again and looked at the class, glaring at everyone.
Zeph dropped to the seat beside her and knew he had no choice at this point but make acquaintances with the Slytherins. "I'm Zeph, Hufflepuff. You two seem like you aren't to thrilled to be here. However, you don't know what today's lesson is either." He looked excitedly at them, " My dad's an Animagus and he has a surprise for everyone."Zayn was now even less excited. He rolled his eyes and glanced at Judah, "Oh boy, I'd love to learn to turn into a mouse to be eaten so I wouldn't have to sit in another boring class of your ole man's." He hugged out a sigh.
Professor Taloneye swooped down from the high rafters and landed as a human at his desk his feathers meshing into his silver cloak and his blue eyes swirled into very human eyes. His tall demeanor appeared apprehensive, but his warm tan complexion made him much more entrancing. "Alright, get out your books at turn to page 472. Can anyone tell me what separates the animal form of an Animagus from a regular animal?" He studied his class and his eyes met Zeph demanding he not answer.
Judah laughed "Are we seriously expected to sit here and learn about animals? We could be learning about things that actually matter but no, that's too difficult for you to manage". She turned to Zeph before he could object "I get it, you're a good little Hufflepuff who can't accept that this is meaningless and has no effect on anyone's future. She stood up "I'm not gonna stay here and waste my time".
Ezekiel downed his head he may be a prat but he wasn't going to cost his house any points. He chose instead to silently agree and begin to out his things away having already dotted down notes from the board. "I guess I can practice studying about the zoo in my own dorm. Until later, Zeph." He stood up with Judah and quickly began to finish packing his bag. "I need a free period this week anyway."
