A BR is a book read by more than one member of this group at the same time and can be organized by any group member. So as to increase more participation and ensure fairness for accessibility, books for BRs should be published minimum three months prior to the reading period.
A new BR thread is created (or an old one edited) and members discuss the book. Topics might include themes in the book, new information learned, summary of interesting sections, things you like and dislike, information about the author, links to extra information, etc.
2. Invite others for a BR.
Invite others to a buddy read here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... by adding the book, author, and brief explanation for why you want to read the book. Once one or more people have agreed to join you, agree upon a reading period (BR for month of November).
3. Planning the BR.
Go here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... and follow the directions in the first comment. This is where you will ask a moderator to set up your BR.
3. Reading the BR.
Your BR will be posted in its own thread with the book and author. Within that thread you will discuss the book amongst yourselves.
4. Archiving a BR
BR threads will be archived one week after the reading period is finished. You will still be able to comment and discuss the book in the archived buddy reads folder.
