Melanie hurried into the clearing, where the blue team often gathered before the game, but no one was there. She muttered a Greek curse under her breath. They had already started. She stopped a couple moments to catch her breath before slowly jogging towards the creek.

Astrid ran into the clearing unchallenged. That was odd. Perhaps they only had their strong teammates going after flag. She began running toward the southern woods.

Astrid sprinted across the clearing towards the creak, dropping her spear so that she could run faster.
