Considering The Troubles had been going on since the 60's, her father is an Irish immigrant & lives in a heavily populated area of Irish-Americans. It's more probable that she would have heard about it than not.

Im going to write down some historical events I want to keep in mind to see if they appear or have an influence on the plot.

I didn't think this book was going to involve fae, so Im a bit put off. The romanticized popular depictions of fae isn't something I find enjoyable which is why I stay away from fictionalized versions. (hide spoiler)]

I don't know what to think. Things really picked up the in the last chapter. Typing my review and feel like it wasn't good or bad. I think I stuck around for the mythology and setting more than anything.
