Ayla (storiesandfolklore) | 4715 comments Actually, I don't think she's letting anybody else in as of now, but you can still ask!

aarja (aarjak) | 108 comments Adela wrote: "andrea wrote: "Can we do a Christmas readathon like the thanksgiving one?"

Sure! We were planning on just doing Zoe's readathon, but I can definitely put together one for Christmas!"

That's so kind :D

message 53: by Anna (new)

Anna Maybe I just haven't looked in the right place yet but I was wondering what the personal book nooks are for?

message 54: by Sofia, Bookish Duck (new)

Sofia (sofloaf) | 3641 comments They're for sharing your bookish thoughts, reviews, or just generally chatting about your life!

message 55: by Anna (new)

Anna Thanks! I found the thread explaining what they were a few seconds after I asked XD Whoops

message 56: by Sofia, Bookish Duck (new)

Sofia (sofloaf) | 3641 comments No problem! You can create one for yourself or you can ask a mod to make one for you, if you like.

message 57: by Anna (new)

Anna Thank you.

message 58: by Sofia, Bookish Duck (new)

Sofia (sofloaf) | 3641 comments Of course, Adela!

message 59: by [deleted user] (new)

Quick question.

Who deleted the brible?

message 60: by Lacey, Bookish Human (new)

Lacey | 1581 comments I have no idea.

message 61: by Erin (new)

Erin what's the brible?

message 62: by [deleted user] (new)

UH-

NOTHIN

message 63: by Erin (new)

Erin ok? ......

message 64: by [deleted user] (new)

HAHAAHAH

message 65: by Sofia, Bookish Duck (new)

Sofia (sofloaf) | 3641 comments I think one of the moderators deleted it because it violated the guidelines.

message 66: by Sofia, Bookish Duck (new)

Sofia (sofloaf) | 3641 comments I could be wrong. I don't actually know.

message 67: by [deleted user] (new)

Bruh,

message 68: by Sofia, Bookish Duck (new)

Sofia (sofloaf) | 3641 comments adela wrote: "What?"

Then again, I might be wrong.

message 69: by Lacey, Bookish Human (new)

Lacey | 1581 comments I think one of the reasons was that it could be considered offensive.

message 70: by Sofia, Bookish Duck (new)

Sofia (sofloaf) | 3641 comments Ah, sorry :)

@Lacey That's what I was thinking. Some Christians could have taken it the wrong way. And there are a lot of younger people here too... the content isn't exactly child-friendly.

message 71: by Lilly S (new)

Lilly S Either a mod or the Goodreads staff could've possibly taken it down because this is a public group

message 72: by [deleted user] (new)

Oop-

But why wouldn’t they have told me and Dorian first?

message 73: by andrea (new)

andrea hartmann (andrea_h111) | 1446 comments Maybe... but I think Dorian and Ansel should have at least been informed first so they could save their work...

message 74: by katie ❀ (new)

katie ❀ (whisperngpages) IN CONFUSED WHAT IS THIS??

message 75: by katie ❀ (new)

katie ❀ (whisperngpages) *I’M

message 76: by Sofia, Bookish Duck (new)

Sofia (sofloaf) | 3641 comments The Brible.

message 77: by [deleted user] (new)

Sure, I guess. I just want to know who deleted it.

message 78: by Erin (new)

Erin this is kinda random but what if we had a fun facts topic? i use my nook to post random fun facts (cause i have nothing better to do with my life lmao) and I thought a topic where you could post random fun facts could be cool

message 79: by Lilly S (new)

Lilly S That's really fun! I think that that would be a great addition to the group

message 80: by Erin (new)

Erin so if i made it where would i put it?
or can you just make it?
idk oh well

message 81: by Era ➴, Bookish Obsessed (new)

Era ➴ (readeroflibraries) | 6842 comments could we have a fanart topic in the art section?

message 82: by [deleted user] (new)

good idea! I'll make it

Gabi (gabichandesu) (gabichandesu) Questions :D

1. In the Recommendations section I don't see a general/main topic. I'd be nice to have one to share non-specific recommendations with everyone. (It could cover a lot: recently read, hidden gems, etc.) May I request one? Or may I set one up? Wanted to ask before doing so.

2. I don't see any section for tracking/logging/sharing personal challenges. The Personal Book Nooks seem to be more like chats. I was wondering if I'm overlooking where one might set up a personal challenge thread? Or if it's the case, have someone clarify whether that's not something the mods want?

Thanks in advance!

message 85: by Lacey, Bookish Human (new)

Lacey | 1581 comments 1. That’s a good idea! You can make one anytime, I think that would be great.

2. The nooks were originally supposed to be for reading progress and such, but they’ve turned into chats and we’re fine with that, we love the individuality it gives our group. Some people just use their books for reading progress and that’s fine too. You can make a nook to chat or share reading progress.

message 86: by Erin (new)

Erin I have a suggestion-type thing

I was wondering, do you think we could have a No Stupid Quesions topic? (we don't necessarily need to name it that. that's just what i thought of given the moment) When I first joined goodreads I literally didn't know how things worked and I felt really stupid asking things like, "What does tbr stand for?" and, "how does (whatever I needed to know given the moment) work?" so I thought it might be helpful. It could be like a place where you can ask questions you would otherwise feel really stupid asking.

message 87: by Sofia, Bookish Duck (new)

Sofia (sofloaf) | 3641 comments That's a great idea. I currently can't make it, but one of the other mods can!

message 88: by Gabi (gabichandesu) (last edited Jan 13, 2021 06:51PM) (new)

Gabi (gabichandesu) (gabichandesu) Thank you for the response, Lacey. Much appreciated 💚

I agree, Erin! Goodreads got me stuck on "Want To Read", so TBR stumped me since I kept thinking along the lines of WTR.

message 89: by erin (new)

erin (erinssss) | 1054 comments Just wondering, but would I be allowed to make that topic i suggested earlier? I don't want to come off as sounding pushy or anything (oh god i really hope i don't sound really mean right now) but I don't want to make a topic if I'm not supposed to or accidentally put it in the wrong folder or anything....... (AHHHH i'm dying. why am i so bad at writing) It's totally fine if I can't make the topic though. see erin? this is why you fail all your essays

you know what? i think i need to go die in a hole now. my writing sounds so awkward. i don't even know if i'm going to post this

message 90: by [deleted user] (new)

Yes Erin you can totally make that topic! I'm so sorry that I didn't see it earlier.

message 91: by Lilly S (new)

Lilly S Oh yeah, members can make pretty much any topic as long as they put it in the right folder! Sorry nobody made it.

message 92: by Bumble (new)

Bumble Greenbriar (hernameiscrumpet) | 922 comments hey, is there a topic for favourite book quotes? if not, would it be ok for me to make one?

message 93: by [deleted user] (new)

You should totally make one!

message 94: by Sofia, Bookish Duck (new)

Sofia (sofloaf) | 3641 comments Bumble wrote: "hey, is there a topic for favourite book quotes? if not, would it be ok for me to make one?"

Sure, go ahead! I think the Bookish folder would be a good fit for that.

message 95: by m15hha (new)

m15hha | 17 comments Hey, I was just wondering if there was a chat where we could just... chat? About anything really... just a space where all pleasantries are welcome :)

message 96: by erin (new)

erin (erinssss) | 1054 comments i have a really, really, really odd request

can someone delete my nook for me? i made it with my original account and now i can't change the name or anything and it's really annoying me. and if i were allowed to have my nook deleted then would i be allowed to start a new one?

here's the link for it: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

message 97: by Lilly S (new)

Lilly S Hello, sorry for the late response! Doing that right now, and of course!

message 98: by erin (new)

erin (erinssss) | 1054 comments Thanks!
