ABANDONED. Fictional book about losing everything and going backpacking instead. Spoilers ahead.

I read this book in 2012. The story is about a successful businessman who specialised in advertising. He is wealthy and in a happy marriage. One day, his wife fell off a horse and was sent to the hospital. He rushed over from a meeting. The doctors said that she will be paralysed for the rest of her life but suddenly, her condition became critical and she passed away. Devastated, when he finally went back to his workplace to only find out that his business partner and most trustworthy friend has betrayed him. He took all of his clients and staff over to his newly established company. He soon became bankrupt and his house was seized to pay off the debt. He decided to pack up and go backpacking by foot (Can't remember where). The ending of the story, he was in an accident and he met a lady named Angel who was trying to rescue him. Angel was a name that was previously hinted by his dead wife in a dream.
