But yea, it is super hard to get all the signs to align to get a book to fit all things.

Review ~

It was a 4-star for me. I really liked it so much better than the last 2,

That's the only reason I took off the star was that she was really wordy. I do hope she realizes that word count necessarily a good book does not make.
I did really love his backstory. Actually, I loved hers too. Both were tortured & scarred outside & in. I Loved the whole pirate theme too. I wish Mortimer would have gotten more his due. But anyhoo, he was in a hurry. Lol

I will Def be continuing to read this author. I am interested in her spin-offs & am wondering if The Devil You Know series is completely new or a spin-off of some kind as well.

But yea, it is super hard to get all the signs to ..."
That's great! Mine worked for SS, PtP, Race & National Park Road Trip.

I was super proud of myself that I found a book to fit every team challenge I had.

I was like huh extra book..... I totally read right over the "6" and just paid attention to the 4.0.

Oh well I have another book that i started after the call that works.

I was a little skeptical going into reading this story as I didn't love the first book of Madeline Miller's I read. As someone who studied Classical Languages and this period of history and its' myths I'm always a little bit of a tough sell on these sorts of retellings. But I was very pleasantly surprised with this story. I really really enjoyed this one. Circe's depictions in this story were fairly close to the original ideas of how she's depicted in the myths, but she's more humanized in this story. This being told from her perspective really brings you into how those known events in her life could be seen from a different point of view. I liked that this story didn't change the key moments so much as it changed the perspective things were viewed through. This really pits the idea of human mortality and values vs the gods and their priorities.
This was a lovely story, and I really enjoyed the reading of things.

Review: I enjoyed this book, somewhat clichéd in story line. Orphaned girl receives a mysterious letter saying she is the heir of a castle. Only to find out that her long lost family was a powerful magical royalty family and that she apparently is magical. The reasons she was brought to the castle though are far from noble, can she battle the evil within? That being said, it was well done, even though wrapped up in the one book, I don't see any indication that more books will appear, but who knows what the future will hold since it is a new release.

Task #9 ~ Stop #31. Read 6 books rated at/over 4.0.
Book: Stroke of Midnight 3.75* ✔️ 11/5/2020
Pages: 350 pages
Qualifications: 4.42 average rating, 813 rating
Review: I really liked it. Even tho its 300+ pages, it ended up being a fast read. I got lost in some of the story. I don't like the h is just out of high school and about to go to college 😖, and I really didn't like that they didn't let you forget she was that young. I loved Winston. Hey was pretty kinky and great with the dirty talk. Especially that Daddy Dirty Talk!!

Now this does end on a twist & cliffhanger, but it's nothing we don't see coming. I wish book 2 was coming out sooner and I will be continuing the story. I know we all can't wait to see the Terror Triplets get there due! Definitely don't want to be in their shoes once Winston does get wind of what's going on!

Review: This was my first time reading from this author and I really enjoyed the sleuthing by Clare. She's a pretty smart and artistic female and what a talented nose. LOL There were some fun moments when her ex pops in and tries to be smooth and rude at times, especially the signing. That was too funny but Clare definitely had her hands full between and intrusive ex, a coffeehouse to run, a boyfriend and a crime. Lots go on in this book and you will feel all kinds of emotions but a well written book.
I may have to find my way to the begin since not only does my OCD kick in but I need to know more of the characters background.

Stop 9: Task 31

Review: I enjoy this series. Some are good like this one or some can be a bit boring. The characters in this story are lovers that weren't able to be together due the Indian beliefs. So it took them some time before they can finally get together but then the troubles come and things need to be settled in a way that death can be a solution.

Review: I love the cats in this series. Like all cats they have serious personality, topped with their abilities they always bring a few chuckles to the series. Kathleen's big night turns deadly as she is hosting a fundraiser gala for a reading project to benefits the kids of Mayville. The dead guest is someone that hasn't been seen in town for over 20 years, what brought them to town on this evening to attend this event and who knew they were coming to inflict death. Multiple secrets and past history are discovered as Kathleen attempts to not get involved in investigating.

MKat Posted... PLEASE TAKE NOTE! ‼️
With the challenge ending on Sunday, November 8th, there will a minor change to the last task. Beginning on Friday, November 6th, when teams post their completions and get a new task, they will all get the same task. For this task, instead of just completing it, you will continue reading to add to the total number of pages read for your team. There will be no passes for the last task and to complete it, every team member must complete a book for the task and contribute to the overall page count. In the event that two or more teams are tied based on the number of tasks completed, the team with the highest page count will win The Amazing Race Team Challenge!
**Remember if your completion posts are incomplete or have the wrong page count, your books will not count. So help each other out by checking the posts!**
‼️ If your page count comes from a Kindle edition published on the initial publication date on the editions page, it will count. If your page count comes from a Kindle edition labeled '1st edition', it will count. If your page count comes from the earliest dated English language Kindle edition, it will count. I am looking for one of those three things when confirming your books! As long the page count you list is correct, I will accept any link to the book. ‼️
ETA: Teams with less or more than the standard 4 teammates will have their page counts adjusted up or down accordingly. Basically 75/100/125 pages would all equal 100 pages depending on the size of your team.
I Def won't be finished today. Sorry ladies.
