Ah, this is such a great series, Stephanie Lauren's Adventurers Quartet, even though as the first of the quartet, Edwina's and Declan's adventure in Freetown, Sierra Leone in Africa in the early part of the 18th Century, searching for clues on the disappearance of 3 military men and a special agent, is perhaps the thinnest and least exciting. It read better this time around, or maybe I should say Steve West did a terrific job reading it. My one criticism was the sometimes extremely long silences between chapters. I particularly enjoyed the voices and intonations he used for some of the older military and colonial males encountered in this particular story.
