Ok. Have you tried to reach her via PM? She signed up after teams were formed, so she might not have seen that she got a spot right away.

I'll try that ☺

Yes, you can use it for 0. If you get a 1.5 or 2.5 you could use those for 1 and 2 respectively, and so on.

Books have to be started after the roll.
The loophole people occasionally use to get around this is starting a book over from the beginning so they can count it... or so they claim, anyway. Provided they claim it convincingly, we generally choose to believe them, because innocent until proven guilty and whatnot. ;)

Thought so. Was just cking tho.

Oh, this is a good one we've never had before!
I think for the sake of consistency, it should only count for J and E as the first letter in the second name in a hyphenated first name wouldn't work either.

Okay, thanks.

darn, okay thanks

What if the books are reading with alternative task and/or out of order, are still counting?

What do we do for this week's reviews?
Since we're getting close to this week's deadline, just submit the remaining five team members' reviews and you're good to go. I'll get you a back-up player to join in with the next roll.

for a 0 - can we read a 1st in series or it has to be a stand alone?
So if we land on 60 - #6, #60, stand alone and 1st in series or just the first three?
Thanks
Only standalones for 0, so just the first three options plus the alternate for spot 60.
Or 0.5 if it's long enough.
Or 0.5 if it's long enough.

Or 0.5 if it's long enough."
Thanks for the clarification ~ I found a spooky stand alone
Happy Halloween :)
I'm on the app right now and can't post links, but you can find a bunch of examples on my currently reading shelf. Basically, anything that follows the "Title: Subtitle" format.

Thanks

Lexi wrote: "How do you handle people going missing in this challenge? We are on the second week without hearing from a team member (we used our free pass last week), and the team member has also been messaged...."
Unfortunately, she wouldn't be the first...
If she misses the deadline a second time, she will be disqualified - at which point, provided all remaining players on the team have posted their reviews on time, you will be able to roll and continue. So worst case scenario for the team is that you'll have to wait out the deadline if she doesn't turn up and then continue as a five-player team since I'm currently out of back-up players.

Thank you, it is a bad year for everyone I think. I have lost more team membersthis year on other teams as well. Mostly, I hope everyone is ok.

Sure, either of those will work!

Yes, both #1 and #10 are fine. Don't forget you can also use standalones for 1 or 0.

Mostly people tend to stop playing once a team has claimed the win. Some teams choose to at least finish out their last roll, but if you want to, you can absolutely keep going until your team has crossed the finish line. I tend to think it's a shame so many stop immediately when the winner is announced, but I guess they don't see a point in continuing. It is a little like breaking off a marathon with a couple of miles left to go just because someone else crossed the finish line first though, isn't it? :)
