It's time for everyone to nominate a book for our October 2020 group read.

Continuing on with our different tasks each month:

For October's read we are looking for A book TRANSLATED from another language
So, nominate a crime/mystery/thriller/suspense book to cover October's task :)

Don't forget - 1st in a series, if a series

This thread will be open until 10th September, then nominations will go to the vote.

Authors and publishers, please don't nominate your own work!

Aargh, apologies I didn't realise. He has only fairly recently been translated and published in English. I thought the half dozen or so available were all standalones. I'll try and find something else with a French flavour!

What about #1 in that same series?

Col (col2910) | 915 comments Brenda wrote: "What about #1 in that same series?"

Looking deeper, I think the #11 refers to a publisher no. for the imprint as opposed to being #11 in a series by the author.

I can't find out too much about Dard other than he wrote over 300 books many in a series, so I can't swear either way that this one lives on it's own or not. That said the blurb doesn't refer to his series character.

I don't know Col, it's very strange the way his profile is with that #11 in the middle of it, but no reference to the series anywhere else. Amazon says this one is #11 too - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01...

To be safe, perhaps find another one :) Thanks Col!
