P.L. Tavormina | 10 comments Hello and happy Sunday!

I write social-commentary SFF (along the philosophical lines of Dune or Avatar) in a series that just keeps growing. New installment dropping in a month.

This week: 99c Kindle countdown on all three books in the Industrial Age series.

It's climate fiction SFF on a second world with metaphysical elements and a dash of sweet romance. Great for people who want to discover a new world with new adventures, also great for reading groups looking to absorb a little earth history. Crazy, I know, but the reviews say it works. :)

Find them here for 99 cents each this week only:

Hi, just joined. I'm a self-published author, have been writing for more years than I care to remember, and have published three novels and two short-story collections. My latest novel, released this past year, is the second in the series, "The Interstellar Blackbird," and both are stand-alone books.

BOOK COVER SYNOPSIS:
Loneliness can motivate a woman to put herself out there, to meet new friends. But when it doesn’t go as planned, what’s next? Perhaps a little revenge…

Erika Thompson is a lonely housewife. With her kids recently off to college and her husband working long hours, she spends much of her time reading, hanging out with her dog, and trying to figure out what her next steps should be.

But an invitation to join a local mom group is about to change everything. After numerous attempts to fit in and make new friends, Erika is all but shunned. Her sorrow over this unexpected outcome quickly turns to anger, and she retaliates against the moms who’ve done her wrong. But things don’t go as planned for Erika, and she’s in for some surprises of her own.

Erika’s journey includes a trek through childhood friendships, narcissistic family, an obsession with 80s rock music, and the trials and joys of being a wife and mother. With relationships tested and secrets revealed, can she face the stakes of her quest and become who she needs to be?

Richard Houlden (richardhoulden) | 1 comments Hi all,

I'm a self-published author from Yorkshire, UK and I love just about anything that's science fiction related.

2 months ago, I launched my first collection of short stories - The Cartographer's Vault: Book 1
The Cartographer's Vault Book 1 by Richard Houlden

This set of 13 short stories is kicked off by the tale of Ashra Whistlo as she leads her team to the space station Cartographer's Vault, a place that fell into myth generations ago. There, they discover the station's caretaker known as The Curator who reveals to Ashra that the station collects more than the history of their own universe.
The reader is taken on a trip across the cosmos, from a Train Marshal overseeing law and order on a space train to Jupiter and humanity's first attempt to leave the solar system.
The tales go further afield as we're taken away from our solar system to far a far off world where the chosen few of the human inhabitants are sent on a rite of passage to tame a powerful beast to then being plunged onto a water world where a marooned survivor of a crashed space ship fights for survival.
Closer to home, humans are an endangered species and every day is a battle of survival against man-made vampires. Meanwhile, a power-hungry tycoon is desperate to find longevity by any means necessary.

So far, I've had a few awesome reviews / ratings and would love to get more feedback while I'm working on editing the next collection.

Self expression

BLURB:

Jeron Hayden yearns to explore and discover strange new worlds, but he’s just a shuttle pilot for hire.

Diverted by Enforcers, Jeron ends up on the wrong side of a dumpy orbital community over Saturn. He’s given a book he’s not supposed to have, granting him access to the rebellious tech black market.

Jeron becomes a smuggler, working with an illegal sentient AI.

Enforcers never stop enforcing, so Jeron and thousands of other rebels set out for Rieva, a beautiful world of endless potential. There, they form a new civilization based on freedom. Beer flows freely, and life is good.

The Enforcers have a mandate to stop the tech revolution underway on Rieva and an unlimited budget. War is the only possible outcome of such mandates.

With planet-ending weapons in play, monumental distractions can lead to mass death. The echoverse—a realm of entangled thoughts, emotions, and ideas, is a monumental distraction for Jeron.

Eom, an alien philosophy, holds the potential to reshape Jeron’s mind, allowing him to navigate the echoverse and possibly end the war. His guide to eom is a beautiful alien woman named Calira.

Your guide to eom is a sentient AI entity with no name. He was born amidst war. Along the way, he figured out how to get free beer, which would have been nice if he could drink it, so he’s got that going for him.

"The eom Expression" is a satirical science fiction adventure about the nature of existence, the mind, and individuality. It explores finding joy even amidst the uncertainty of a technological singularity. Enjoy the journey!

I have a novella I'd like considered.
Here are some lines from twitter
Creatures from outside of reality are attacking. One rescue agent is on-scene, but she's cut off from her team. People are screaming and the mission won't wait.
