1. Very approachable. Written as a sermon to White Americans 2. Fear-Learnng zone. Hard truths. 3. Dyson is an ordained black minister and professor of sociology at Georgetown. He speaks very directly to White Americans; sometimes tough love, but well founded. I really appreciated the last part of book, the "Benediction" where he gives many concrete actions whites can do as "reparations", and to be allys.
