Q2 In "Built" Roma Agrawal refers to Sophia Brunel as “the great engineer we never had”. How many other women were denied their opportunity to pursue a career in engineering? Does this continue today?
Q3. Throughout "Built" Roma Agrawal refers to often being the only woman in the room or on site & that this is “sometimes comical, other times trying”. We often hear of the challenges being a woman in engineering, but what “comical” stories can you share?
Q4. Emily Warren Roebling significantly contributed to the building of one of the most famous bridges in the world - the Brooklyn Bridge. Had you heard of her before reading "Built" ? Why isn’t her story better known?
Q5. Biomimicy = engineering that takes inspiration from the shape & function of structures in nature. Engineering & biology now collaborate well together, what other fields should engineering embrace for innovative design & impact?
