This book does have some incredible photographs since he is a photographer, a few full page, but they are there to accompany the stories of his adventures and of the explorers who came before him. His stories are not brief, but broken into chapters of sections of the canyon, filled with history. I would say that less than 1/4 of the book is photographs...maybe around 30 pages total if you pulled them together?
