SOLVED. Fiction / Three random characters lives intertwine

One of the characters was Latin and I think his dad worked in the circus or something? I read the book 4 or 5 years ago. I thought it might have been a Marquez book but it’s not. And it might have the words “joy” or “luck” in the title but I’m not sure. (It’s not the joy luck club) please help!
