I am an audiobook narrator and producer and I am also finding it very difficult to find "clean reads " It is hard for me as a born-again believer to put my name, and by association, my Father's name, to any work that contains profanity or sexual content or even "inclusive " content. I must wade through the garbage of potential books seeking a narrator to find anything worthwhile to audition for. There are many books that I have read that involve mystery, love, action, or intrigue that do not need the profanity or illicit scenes to tell or sell the story and I would love to produce abridged, or "clean read " audiobook versions and promote them, if I could find authors willing to do so. I am SO very frustrated with the garbage of books out there. I love to read, will download what appears to be an okay selection, get well into the book and then there's suddenly raunch. It's becoming ridiculous!
