30.5 - Mazza1's Task: Find The Right Spell

This is a 2 book task. Read 1 book 1 and 1 book 2.
Your books must total at least 600 pages.
No books with the genre Childrens maybe used.

This is inspired by a book I read for a Summer task Seveneves

Book 1
As you can see the title word Seveneves is a Palindrome, a word that reads the same backward as forward.
Read a book which has a palindrome of 4 or more letters in the title or subtitle.
As with "Seveneves" The word does NOT need to be found in a dictionary
e.g. Josh & Hannah or Dead Level

Book 2
Maintaining the theme of letters being important
Read a book with only one occurrence of each letter in the title: NO repeated letters. The title must have at least 4 letters. Ignore subtitles.
e.g. Skin Game or Why Not Me?

Marie (UK) (mazza1) | 3940 comments Some names are Palindromic e.g. Anna, Hannah and would work

Aprilleigh (aprilleighlauer) | 1261 comments Can the palindrome for Book 1 span two or more words in the title? For example, a title like "The Image Game" with MAGEGAM crossing two words?

I am going to say no to this as it is only using partial words - Sorry

Aprilleigh (aprilleighlauer) | 1261 comments Then I guess you need to explain this one a little better, or give some examples, because I haven't got a clue how to approach that one.

There are two examples given - Murdrum and Level. Some others I thought of are Civic, Deed, Noon, Madam......................

Kayak, Civic, madam, are all palindromes

this site gives other examples
https://examples.yourdictionary.com/p...

If you found a complete title that spelt the same backwards as forwards that would work ( I think this would be extremely difficult to do) but I don't feel you can take letters out of two different words merging them to create something that works

Again i would have to say no Kim the apostrophe makes it one word to me, as such it isn't then a palindrome. However i never thought of Hannah as a palindrome and it does open up some other books that sound interesting such as Hannah Green and Her Unfeasibly Mundane Existence

Aprilleigh we all get mistaken at times

Simone (simonec75) Just making sure I understood correctly. Book 2 is only 4 letters in the title. So Scythe would count, right?

Book 2 has to have at least 4 letters in the title, all of them different and Scythe works. I really enjoyed that one hope you do too

Chris (chrismd) | 1237 comments For others struggling with the palindrome task, I had looked at David Baldacci's One Good Deed several times for other tasks before I realized "deed" is a palindrome.

Brooke | 1109 comments I was planning to read No Good Deed for book 1. It is on my kindle, but when I went to check the page count in the mmpb edition, I saw that in paperback it is published under another title (Don’t You Cry) without a palindrome. Can I still use No Good Deed for this task?

Mod Note:
Any task requiring a specific title (number of letters, number of words, specific word in title, etc.) should apply to the edition that you read.

Thank you, Dlmrose! I just wanted to make sure before I started reading since it was a situation I hadn't previously encountered.
