Both are fantastic! Can honestly say I preferred the movie over the book. Definitely worth your time to check out both.

I wasn't a fan of the book. I guess it was just not my type of reading/writing.

I didn't watch the movie, since I didn't enjoy the book.

I like how Pat is presented in the book better than on screen, he has a raw quality that makes it a little easier to connect with his story, and it's what I would expect of someone reentering the regular world after spending several years in a mental health facility.

I love both. They are so different that you can like them separate without comparing.
