These are the simple stories of 10 middle school students and what goes on during their walks home. It's the first Jason Reynolds book that has not resonated with me, and I only give this 3 stars. I don't know if it's the off-putting opening that just talks way too long and in detail about boogers, but I just couldn't connect with any of the kids. Still, that's not to say this was a bad book - anything by Reynolds is good reading, but this just wasn't up to the bar set by his other books.
